We were in town for a funeral, we were exhausted and checked in late only to be given a room on the second floor directly on top of a club or bar with loud music. When we opened the door of the room, the music was equally loud as if we were in the actual club… absolutely ridiculous! We immediately went downstairs & the front desk was very helpful in switching us to another room in a higher floor. While staying there overnight, we realized how poorly this hotels was built, everything from decoration to construction is cheap and rundown even though the hotel is still relatively new. It’s always easy to tell the quality of a hotel looking at the towels and I’ve never seen worse… I’ve traveled extensively. One last thing that I want to point out is how absolutely ridiculous is that you cannot change the temperature in the room yourself but you depend on calling the front desk & then having someone come over to manually change it because the AC controls are locked… I had never encountered that issue in my entire life while visiting a hotel. Of course the room also had a loud fridge that woke me up anytime the motor started or stopped and of course there were cars going up and down the street accelerating loudly and with loud music. A truly terrible experience!
