Tiny House 800 by Tiny Away

Summary:
Our tiny house is the perfect tiny spot for your perfect getaway. Experience a chance to escape the busy city life and a touch of life in the vineyards. Our Tiny Houses have all of the necessities (e.g. hot showers and toilets) and are located on the award winning Vintry property. These farm stay NSW retreats are located in Central Pokolbin, the heart of the Hunter Valley vineyards just 2 hours drive from Sydney. More than 150 wineries, restaurants, sweeping landscapes and mobs of kangaroos.

Please find the QR in the photo to scan and unlock Hunter Valley Journey and enjoy 10% discount on our tiny houses.

The Space:
Our farm stay NSW tiny house is a lovely studio space of 139 sqft at the rural locality of Pokolbin, home to some of Australia's top wineries and cellar doors, award-winning restaurants and a convenient place for your daily adventures to nearby local wineries and attractions such as Hunter Valley Gardens, Audrey Wilkinson and Hunter Valley Wildlife Park.

It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Perfect for 2 persons!

The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space.

Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours. Please note for Tiny House 800 is with eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank. Tiny House 888 is with waterless eco-friendly compost toilet.

If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except the land host's private residence.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there are two Tiny houses ''Tiny House 800'' & ''Tiny House 888'' that sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements. The Tiny House are 50 metres away from each other.

The Neighborhood:
Nestled in the Brokenback Range's foothills, where you can find a majority of Hunter Valley's most prestigious vineyards and learn everything there is to know about it. Explore new places here at Pokolbin, close to Usher Tinkler Winery, which offers a delicious selection of food and wine, excellent service, and a welcoming staff.

A comfortable stay and one of the best farm stay NSW getaways in Australia!

Holiday Art Retreat
This magical place was exactly what I imagined. I booked in for two nights to create my art surrounded by all sorts of wildlife. Birds chirping, a visit from Skippy and family and Greg the host was very helpful making the stay perfect. I will definitely come back again for another magical experience.

Perfect for a couple's weekend away
Perfect size for a couple and lovely location near Audrey Wilkinson. The host was accomodating and my partner and I walked into a neat and clean tiny home. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was tidy. A perfect stay for a weekend away for some wine tasting in the Hunter Valley. Due to the location and heat, there were quite a few bugs outside the property that entered the home as we entered at night due to the lights, but that was not a big problem. The aircon was great in the heat and the water pressure was perfect. The compost toilet was a new experience but was easy to use with instructions in the bathroom. However, the shower door and the top showerhead seemed to be broken, which wasn't a big problem as the lower showerhead was working perfectly fine. Also, the stay only provides body wash and hand soap so if you require other amenities, I would advise you to bring your own. All in all, a decent experience stay that my partner and I were happy with. We had no serious complaints and would stay again in the future. Thank you Greg for a great stay.

Expensive for what you get
The tiny house is cute--and well-equipped if you don't mind the chemical toilet, but you're paying a lot compared to a 4-star hotel room.

Great tiny home
Loved staying in this tiny home. It had everything we needed for a quiet night away. The air conditioning was great as we stayed in summer. The other tiny home on the property is about 50 metres away so you still have privacy.

Nice little home tucked away but also central to wineries
My partner and I stayed here for my 30th birthday/surprise engagement weekend. We really liked the tiny home though the compostable toilet took some getting used to. Shower was nice and hot with plenty of water pressure. Really great location with several wineries and restaurants on the same road <2 minutes drive. Our host Greg was an excellent communicator and quickly solved our issue of having no lighter to start a campfire. Overall a very enjoyable stay

Good location but overwhelming overall
I had high hopes for this property as it appeared to be a lovely place for a romantic getaway. However, the tiny house itself was run down (e.g. broken shower screen and shower head, broken bathroom door) and not overly clean (dead bugs squished into blinds). While it appears to be in the middle of wilderness that's not quite the case (close proximity to two other properties). All in all for the price I would not book again but can see it being a better option if the tiny house were updated/taken better care of.

We loved our stay. Lovely surroundings of bush lands and a fair few wineries along the entrance roads. Close to Hunter valley gardens. If you have never stayed in a Tiny house, I recommend giving it a go.

Very pleasant tiny cottage for a short stay
Loved the cottage and the location. Very private and compact as described on the website. Owners very helpful in terms of communications before and during our stay. A few minor issues make it a 4 star not 5 star.

A great couple of nights away
We really enjoyed our two nights at Tiny House. Whilst small, the House has everything we need and felt so private. We were able to walk to several fantastic vineyards for wine tasting, and enjoyed the local wildlife passing by. Would definitely recommend.

Great Experience!
Was great to have a place next door to a vineyard so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about our transport. The 'glamping' experience was one that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a break from city-life-hotels.

Couples getaway
first time in a tiny house - whilst we couldn't live in one it was fun for a couple of days. This property is at the end of a secluded road so very quiet and private. we had everything that we needed for a short stay - microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, TV. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was fantastic - very hot and lots of water. We enjoyed having a fire in the pit outside in the evening with some cheese and red wine. We're glad that we also took our bluetooth speaker. The serenity was amazing and we had a gorgeous walk up to Audrey Wilkinson in the morning to enjoy the spectacular view before the crowds. An evening walk along the road amongst the vineyards was another highlight We had an amazing time - well suited for couples who want to really get away from it all

Little Tiny Haven in Hunter Valley
There is much to love and none to hate for my stay in Greg's tiny house. The place is clean, with complete amenities, and comes with a backyard of Brokenback mountain and chirping birds that automatically makes your system to just slow down and relax. Greg is very responsive and friendly too. Go and book it, you won't regret it.
