Cabot's Modern Beach House is packed full of modern amenities including a well-equipped open-concept kitchen (with an island, bar stools and premium stainless steel appliances), air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, a laundry center, and ocean views from every room.
The master bedroom features a King-sized bed, an ultra-comfortable pillow-top mattress, premium bedding along, and an ensuite bathroom. The Guest bedroom has an ocean view, a similar Queen-sized bed, and its own bathroom.
Outside, take in the fresh Atlantic sea air while enjoying a glass of wine or a cold beer on your giant 500 square foot sundeck which has a BBQ and 270-degree views of the coastal and local mountains.
Our property covers 1.5 acres, with the house sitting 100 feet from an embankment with a stone beach below. Please note that the embankment and the ocean present a risk for children. Thus, children must be at least ten years of age to stay. Access to the beach requires a walk down the road.

Guests have access to the entire home, a giant 500 square foot sundeck and the vast majority of the 1.5 acre property

Our vacation home is nestled in the heart of the Acadian village of Cheticamp, which is the gateway to the famous Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
We are a short 5-10 minute drive from the fisherman’s dock, whale watching excursions, kayak rentals, restaurants, shops and Le Portage golf course in Cheticamp.
A Few Things to Do in the Area:
1. Hike the famoous Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Enjoy dramatic headland cliffs overlooking the rugged coast from the end of this level trail. You can enjoy an eagle's view of the Cabot Trail as it winds its way down the mountain.
2. Enjoy whale watching and coastal tours offered by local operators. Watch for whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence from the viewing decks. Moose, bald eagles, bears and numerous boreal birds live here.
3. Enjoy live Celtic and Fiddle music at the Doryman Pub and Grill and Le Gabriel restaurants (just 10 min away).
4. Le Portage 18-Hole Golf Course. Tee off beneath the Cape Breton Highlands.
5. Museum/Gallery/Cultural Center -- At Les Trois Pignons heritage center you can dive into Acadian culture and the history of Chéticamp, view an impressive collection of tapestries, rugs and antiques, and plug into their genealogy resource centre.
6. Hike to the swimming hole at the Cheticamp Gypsum quarry. This is a short hike on an established trail/ ATV track that leads you to a beautiful, secret swimming spot near Cheticamp.
7. Swimming at Cheticamp Island Beach. Drive down Cheticamp island road and stop and park at sand dunes.
The best way to get around is by car.
Please note that the embankment and the ocean present a risk for children. Thus, children must be at least ten years of age to stay.
The absolute maximum number of guests allowed on the property is four.
1. No more than 4 guests are permitted to stay at this property. No exceptions.
2. Guests are not permitted to cook lobster, crab or fish inside the home. Fish must be cooked outside on the barbeque using a grill or boilers. Cooking fish inside will result in forfeiture of damage deposit and possible fines of $250 or more.
3. Guests are required to close windows and stow away outdoor furniture when away from the property as unpredictable rains and winds can cause damage to the property.
4. Guests must keep noise levels to within reasonable levels in order to preserve our good relations with our neighbours.
