We loved the royalton splash! We went for a wedding which was also coordinated flawlessly! The food choices were good and the rooms were cleaned spotless every day :) The resort grounds were clean and the staff were so so so helpful! Shout out to Jonathon at the Expedia desk and shout out to Alfonso at the bar :)

Royalton Splash is a good resort, with great facilities and staff. Our butlers Jorman and Gonzalo were Excellent. The only negatives are the facility is becoming a bit dated and the loyalty program push is unrelenting.

Krystal Pohlenz was our point of contact for this trip. She treated us like family and took really good care. She made sure we were comfortable and made reservations and suggestions that were perfect for our family. I would rate her a 11/10 an extra point for her kind interactions. The other staff and people at the property were okay. Not sure if language was a barrier but because it is a huge property a lot of things are slow. Sometimes the orders never came on time and overall i would rate it a 9/10.

I feel like this property is way overpriced . Lazy river wasn’t working, any indoor fun for the kids weren’t included and was super expensive, front dent wasn’t friendly or helpful, however Jon checked in with us daily and was absolutely amazing.

Our stay at Royalton Splash Riviera was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend booking through Expedia as they offer extra discounts for spa and bottle services, plus they include a private butler. Our butler, Jonathan, was excellent! He helped us with everything we needed, from booking transportation to making dinner reservations and spa appointments. He truly went above and beyond. This resort is perfect for families with kids—so much fun! They have incredible water slides for both adults and children, and the food was delicious. Our friends who stayed with us loved it as well! The only downside was the smell at the property—it reminded us of a swamp. Additionally, we found a small lizard in the bathroom, which could be a bit unsettling for some. Since we stayed in a swim-out suite, this might have been the reason. Thankfully, the staff quickly resolved it when we asked. Overall, the experience was excellent! There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, and the buffet had great options for kids. I highly recommend this resort for a memorable family vacation!

The Diamond Club is the way to go! Our butler (yes, I said Butler) Omar was amazing! He took care of everything we needed!! The only downside was the beach. The seaweed has taken over the waters and it is a bit murky! Overall, it was a fantastic weekend!!

We took our 5 year old for her birthday and she had a great time. We booked with Expedia and once we got to the hotel we were greeted by our Expedia rep for the hotel Krystal who was absolutely wonderful!!! We were unhappy with our original room and the shower was leaking on the ground. She got us a new room with a better view. She made all of our dinner reservations, she helped me book excursions off the hotel premises. She arranged for our room to be decorated with balloons and happy birthday desert for my daughter. I also want to thank the other Expedia rep Alejandro who assisted us as well he was great and the one to decorate our room. At the hotel we loved the lazy river just wish it had a current to push us through if not we would just float in the same spot. The regular buffet had better food than the restaurants. The hotel itself is nice and clean. Pool is beautiful. The beach is not swimmable in my opinion. Overall nice hotel would stay again. Similar to other royalton hotels if you’ve ever been to one.

I recently stayed at Royalton Splash and had an amazing experience, largely thanks to the outstanding service from Krystel. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. The resort itself is a fantastic destination with plenty of activities and amenities, especially for families. The water park is a highlight, offering fun for all ages. Absolute pleasure to stay in this hotel the service was great I would like to say that reserving through Expedia was a great choice shout-out to Krystel and Jonathan the Expedia crew in the hotel that couldn't be more attentive and in special the cheft Montserrat that please me with many plant base meals a life saver thank you all to make our stay a pleasure.. and thanks Expedia..!!

Overall property experience 3.5/5 This resort has so much potential to be AMAZING. Its biggest downfall is the lack of/slow service at restaurants/across the property. A few observations - at the buffet we would be seated and 4/5 days had breakfast without anyone to come in and check for drinks/refills/requests. Had to constantly find waitstaff for a high chair (to contain a 1yr old during meals which is so difficult without one) attimes it seemed the staff was bothered and inconvenienced when asked for a waiter. Everyone looked like they were working very hard, but seemed extremely understaffed which bled into the overall experience. It seemed like we repeated what we needed to too many different staff members for each meal service and communication was not happening which became frustrating with each day. We didn't get a room until almost 6PM - switched twice - once because the bathroom door was jammed and couldn't be fixed, second room had a very foul odor that bell boy also agreed should be addressed with the front desk. Both times we had asked for a crib and it hadn't arrived. Customer Service rating 5/5 We brought this up to our Expedia concierge (Krystel) and Customer Service Manager (Yolatyl) and let me tell you they both deserve 20/10 for really trying to go above and beyond for making up for the inconveniences. Our stay would not have been half as good as it was without their attention to detail and concern for our experience at the resort. You're rockstars!!

Likes: Amazing staff Amazing coffee shop Great quality restaurants Lots of pools Fun drinks for adults & kids Close to the airport Dislikes: I don't like making reservations for supper Certain restaurants were only open on certain days For being mexican they didn't have a huge selection of Mexican food their guacamole was AMAZING tho. Lots of lagoon, I didn't see a crocodile but other people seen one (there is a fence, I just wish there was more signage or a briefing. Because it would be easy for kids playing alone to get attacked if they went wandering) Overall one of the best resorts I've been to
