National 9 is a basic motel, but that's fine. I was looking for a clean reasonably priced location to be my pit stop on the road and that's what I got. The staff was very friendly when I arrived and departed. No complaints at all.

It was older very run down place. The room we looked at had paint missing from the walls and was a bit smelly. We did not stay there. We had to find another place to stay. The front desk was willing to give us our money back, but since it was through Expedia, they couldn't do the refund.

The room felt like a furnace when we got there and it took hours of using the A/C to cool it down. The TV's HDMI ports weren't accessible so I wasn't able to hook up my Nintendo Switch. And the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The staff there was super-nice, and the location was fantastic, so it's a shame that the facilities were so bad that it was the low point of my trip.

Average budget motel room, although slightly on the janky side. Air conditioner blew cold, shower was hot with good pressure, property felt safe enough. But the room was frankly pretty depressing. It probably hadn't been remodeled in 30 years, and was definitely showing its age. It just felt really dingy. I guess it was fine for the price, though.
