Lovely Stay
The unit was just as described. The property manager quickly responded to questions and made the check in and out process very easy. He gave suggestions on area amenities helped with transportation and overall was very pleasant to deal with. The space was clean and comfortable. It was a great stay.

Lovely and comfortable unit
Our family of four was very comfortable in the condo, which had plenty of space and a well-stocked kitchen. Herbert was very helpful in answering questions promptly and giving us recommendations for a snorkel trip. We appreciated that the was spotlessly clean, had great, AC, and was just steps from the pool and sea. We also enjoyed the amenities, including beach cruisers, kayaks, and cornhole. Finally, we loved the restaurant just a short walk up the beach at the Naia resort. Our one discontent was a reality almost everywhere we visited on the Placencia Penninsula - that is, the effort on the part of condos/hotels to preserve the beach by building rock "seawalls." The result of these seawalls is about 6 feet of stagnant water with seaweed and trash between the edge of the beach and the rock walls. The smell was gross and it was an eyesore. We were able to swim off the pier, which was beautiful.

Cocoplum was perfect
The condo was well appointed. Comfortable beds and furniture. Everything you need in the kitchen. The property amenities were great. Paddleboards, kayaks, dock, beautiful swimming pool. We liked the location. It was out of town but not too far. Great places to eat close by.

Awesome stay at Cocoplum
We had such a great stay at Cocoplum. The condo was just what we needed —comfortable, well appointed, and spacious for our family. Our kids enjoyed the paddle boards, snorkeling off the pier, and playing in the pool. Our own little paradise!

Amazing and beautiful.
We loved it here, between the pool and beach and easy drive to the town we were anting for nothing. Herbert made dinner arrangements for us and helped us get a golf cart, all of which was so helpful. We will be back!

The best!
We recently returned from a ten-night stay at the Villas at Cocoplum and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. Herbert was prompt with his responses during the booking process and with our questions leading up to our stay. He went out of his way to arrange our purchase of a crib for our child with special needs and had it assembled upon our arrival. He also had our condo (and the another condo rented by our group) ready for early check-in, even though both units had been vacated that same day. It was a relief after traveling all day with our kids to be able to unpack and get right into our swim suits. The condo was spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable. I wasn't aware of this when booking, but our unit was on the ground level. While you lose some of the Caribbean view with this location, the convenience was well worth it. The kids could come and go to the pool easily and we could freshen our cocktails without having to run up stairs! Also, the stairs would have been challenging with our youngest who isn't well-coordinated. The only complaints I have about our particular unit is that the kitchen faucet would turn on if the handle wasn't positioned a certain way and that the flap that covers the ice maker on the fridge was missing. This kept our freezer working overtime and rendered our ice maker unusable. Both issues are more concerning from the water and energy usage perspective and did not affect our comfort whatsoever. The beautiful grounds at Cocoplum have everything a vacationer could want: pool, hot tub, kayaks, bikes, volleyball, badminton, life jackets, outdoor kitchen and a private pier with a palapa hut, as well as security. And the groundskeeper, Joe, and his assistant, Leonel, do an exceptional job maintaining everything and attending to the requests of the guests. Whenever we had questions or needed something, they went out of their way for us. Thanks again guys! Cocoplum is several miles from the nightlife in Placencia, though there are a number of resorts/restaurants within biking distance. In our college days, we might have preferred to be closer to the action. These days we are perfectly happy with daytime adventures and going to bed early. We chose the right spot for that. The Villas are perfect for those looking for a quieter or more family-centered getaway. This was our first family trip to Belize and we are already plotting our return. We will surely re-book at the Villas of Cocoplum!

Amazing Condo, Authentic Cultural Experience and Access to Water
There were two couples in our group and right from the start, we were impressed with the location of the resort, the beautiful interior and exterior of the three buildings, the pool and the pier. We did not know what to expect since this was a new rental and there were no reviews to read yet. We LOVED the place. We were treated well by Herbert, who coordinated the rental for us. Placencia is the town about 20 minutes away and we highly recommend booking a few excursions from there. But the best restaurants are in Maya Beach which is about 10 minutes away, north of the resort. We lucked out and received a detailed list of best restaurants and sites to see from our neighbors in the condo building. In Placencia, be sure to eat at Omar's where the fish is FRESH and it is BYOB. We also highly recommend the Maya Beach Bistro!! The only sad aspect is the poverty of many of the people - there is no real middle class in Belize. But the people are very kind and friendly. Other must's include snorkeling at one of the Cayes and tubing down the river at the Jaguar sanctuary (which can be done on your own if you have rented a car). The area is very casual (no one wears high heals or dresses up) so be sure to bring the right clothing, including an umbrella for the short rain showers. Don't expect to shop much, at least in that area, but if you do go shopping, you will find beautiful bead jewelry and hardwood bowls.

Perfect location. Secluded.
It was the perfect place to stay. Close enough to dining but secluded enough to feel you had the beach or pool to yourself. Joe was fantastic. He made sure you had everything you needed. The internet was the only thing that wasn't very reliable. It didn't bother me, but my kids weren't happy.
