Hotel is not much to look at from the outside, just a small corner entrance where you're buzzed in. Floor 5 is the "1st floor" of the hotel, as it used to be a department store. Once inside though, the ambience is excellent, as are the rooms. Ours had a 14ft ceiling so it had a cavernous appearance. Not much of a view outside but not an issue, as I booked here for price and location. Beds are very comfy and although there's no folding sheet, the bedcover is thin enough to be used as such. Only minor issue is that the 43" TV looks a little small in such a large area. Parking, @USD 29 daily, is right across the street in an off-site garage. No chain fast food restaurants nearby but there are several nice eateries about a 10 minute walk.

This was our first trip to Pittsburgh. The room was spacious and quiet and there was plenty of places to eat if we chose not to eat at the hotel. The staff was great and suggested some places to see while we were visiting.

The hotel is located on a nice quiet street, as it’s also equipped with facilities that are really up to par. The room was spacious and top notch. However, my only negative is the customer service, which mainly is the front desk, One guy on the front desk, which I think was the manager was really rude and has no problem solving skills at all, I had many issues with the first room I got, such as being really unclean, when I told him I wanna switch my room he was really mad and as if he doesn’t want to do his job, and as if I am the one in the wrong. He switched my room to another room which was also dirty, and after telling him about the 2nd room that it’s also dirty he started talking to me in rude manner and saying that I am really “picky”. But he wasn’t just rude to me, I saw him multiple times shouting at other customers. I hope you could get this figured out because he’s really downgrading the hotel with this sort of behavior.

Extra great hotel!
The room was fantastic! It was very comfortable, roomy and well designed. Checkin was easy and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. Yoga and exercise equipment were provided in the room. Parking was across the street and very reasonable for 24 hours. The bathroom was also well designed with amenities. We would highly recommend this hotel in a great location to restaurants, waterfront, walking path and businesses.
