Green Elk Retreat Cabin, Cozy Cabin - large side yard with wildlife

Family & dog friendly cabin in the cool Pines trees. 3 bedrooms, 2 bath cozy cabin with open kitchen. Elk herds can be found relaxing along the back fence. You will mostly likely see elk, deer, or a rabbit during your stay. Large fenced in backyard with small kids play set. Cornhole, fourscore, hammock and lots of room for your kids to run in the backyard. The house is close to unique restaurants & Tonto Natural Bridge is a 10-minute drive. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, and a few flavors for your beverage of choice. Kids plates, bowels, cups, and utensils are also provided. There is a crib for infant/toddler use, we ask that you bring your own sheet if you plan on using the crib. Dog dishes are available as well as a dog bed. We kindly ask the if you allow your animal on the furniture, you put down a sheet to limit hair getting on the furniture. Please pick up after your pet prior to departing. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cabin. The cabin is in the woods so there is a chance there may be a bug or spider in the house, while it's not the norm, it does happen on occasion. We ask that you do follow the local fire restrictions if/when in place.

We had a great time hiking then relaxing in the yard. Had several Elk visit. My Granddaughter named on Sprinkles and had a very long conversation with her. We also did some nature artwork with what we could gather outdoors. She also taught me how to play soccer using the large pine cones in the yard. Lot’s of fun!

Another great stay at the Green Elk Retreat in Pine. The welcoming house was well stocked with everything we could possibly need, well maintained and very clean. The fenced yard is perfect for dogs ( or kids) and feels very private. We saw elk behind the yard every day. We will be coming back!

Perfect cabin for baby and dogs

Our family stayed here and the cabin was fully equipped for our baby, more than we anticipated with a crib, toys, high chair, stroller, and even a potty trainer. There was a dog bed, doggy door and dog house with a very secure fenced yard with daily elk sightings. Kitchen had everything you could need kitchenware wise. We truly enjoyed our stay. And it’s just down the street from everything you would need while still being in a secluded feeling cabin. Highly recommend for families. And the host is very responsive. 10/10

Presidents Day Weekend Family Trip/Pet

This was our 2nd stay. We enjoy it because the house is light, airy and clean with a very nice size kitchen. We also enjoy the fully fenced in yard. The fence is high enough where we don't have to worry about the dog breaking out.The neighborhood is nice and quiet. If I'm being picky, the bed was too soft for my liking. It has a memory foam and you sink into one position. Otherwise, great little house!

Arizona Hunting Trip

Beautiful home

Came to Pine for a weekend getaway with my family. We really enjoyed our stay. This is a beautiful, very clean, well kept home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Loved that there was both a drip and single serve coffee maker. We will definitely be back.

comfortable beds, equipped with all kitchen appliances. As we unpacked car, a young elk came to yard and cried. The Moma Elk came charging into driveway and the young elk immediately started to nurse. During the week we stayed, the herd of elk visited daily.

Wonderful cabin with all the amenities you need.

Great Stay

This was our 3rd. stay at this cabin. My Daughter and I really love it here and so do our Dogs. It was very clean and maintained well inside and out. Everything was great and relaxing. The Host was very pleasant to work with. We plan on going back again.

Loved the Break from the Phoenix Summer Heat

We booked this cabin (for 11 nights) in Pine to get away from the Phoenix heat in August. The Pine temperatures were between 17 and 22 degrees cooler than Phoenix and ranged from the high 50's for low temps and the high 80's for high temps. The cabin itself was well-stocked with utensils and the expected kitchen appliances (including a few dozen K-cups and a Keurig-type coffee maker). The TV was a smart TV, and you can connect to various streaming services if you already subscribe, and you did get various channels on Hulu-TV, however, there were not standard local stations available. Internet speed was good. The cabin was clean, and well-maintained and the owner was easy to contact. One thing--can't forget to mention the Elk and deer. Every day when I walked my two dogs in the morning, I would see between six and a dozen elk and deer. I got to within 20 feet of them even with my two (friendly GSP) dogs. They would wander around the cabin also every day. The back yard is well fenced with a six foot high chain link fence and there is a doggy door so the dogs could go in and out. Overall was a great stay.

Cozy Cabin getaway

This wonderful 3 bedroom cabin is perfectly situated in the neighborhood for nearby forest hiking and restaurants. The kitchen is updated and great layout for family cooking and eating. There is a fenced in backyard, great for the dog. There is a playground in backyard. Backyard covered deck for morning coffee and front yard has nice deck for sunset relaxing. Two bathrooms are perfect for family. The couch is very cozy in the evening. Overall really nice place to stay. Have been back many times!

Relaxing Days & Nites in Pine.

The house is very nice and nicely furnished (and roomier than our house in Tucson). It has a relatively large fenced back yard, which our 5 month-old puppy appreciated, and we were visited by elk in the evenings and early mornings! All in all we very much enjoyed our stay.

Weekend getaway

We wanted to getaway for the weekend to a cool place in the woods. This place was perfect! It was fully stocked with multiple coffee makers! The furniture decorations were very cute. The layout was great, it has 3 bedrooms, the master has its own bathroom. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. A hiking path entrance was just a few blocks away. We are coming back in two months with family!!
