It was nestled in the quiet part of the hustle and bustle of Patong. The street was clean, clear, and it’s surrounded area had low profile bars, massage parlors, and other shops if you did not want to travel to the busy parts of town to do those same things. And it included activity offices as well as a reasonably price laundromat located next door.

Nice high end hotel. Excellent friendly service. Had 2 x 2 bed penthouse apartments. Very well equipped. Comfortable beds and excellent AC. Well priced buffet breakfast 350 b Restaurant and wine bar too but we didn't try Music on Wed evenings when we were there Gym and pool ok but a bit small

We stayed 8 days at BYD and really enjoyed ourselves. When you go during monsoon season, the weather is hit or miss, but we made the most of it. The location is great, close to the beach and right off one of the main drags with so many food/bar options. The in hotel breakfast was also fantastic, and a great way to start each day -- whether having delicious stir fry or traditional eggs/omletts and bacon and beans. Room (we had a suite) was spacious, clean, and well cared for by the staff. While the rooftop pool is a little small, it's still a great spot to enjoy an afternoon, read a book and then have pizza and beer delivered poolside for the outrageous price of $15 (I was being sarcastic there). Phuket was great and it all started with BYD. Thank you.

We received an upgrade on our arrival to a one bedroom suite and it was fantastic. Everything about this hotel is first class. It’s a lovely quiet area but very close to everything including the beach and shopping. There’s a lovely bar across the road and a laundry so I could do my washing. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices. Will be staying here again when we visit Patong next time.

I’m almost reluctant to give this review in the fear that too many people stay at BYD. It’s perfection from start to finish. Staff, rooms, breakfast, meals, accommodation and everything else is amazing.
