It was an OK hotel for average travel. Decent for the price. Room service was mediocre - in room menus were inaccurate. Beds were uncomfortable. Would not recommend for families.

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how lovely the hotel was. Our room was excellent, clean, stylish. We received very good service from housekeeping, from the server in the lobby, from the staff in the breakfast room. We loved the central location; it was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Checking out took a while and the staff was not helpful when I questioned the bill. Hostess in the restaurant for breakfast was not helpful, didn't seem to know what she was doing. Sat us at a table and 10 minutes went by and no one waited on us or acknowledged us. Finally a waiter asked us if we had been helped and we told him no, he was very helpful and friendly. I had texted my husband to tell him we were seated when he went to walk in the hostess told him to have a seat and she would be with him in a moment. Her then walked in to find us seated. The food was good and the coffee was delicious.

I'd give it a B because of a lot of little things. Chintzy coffee supplies, no printed room service menu, confusing tv with limited free options. We were offered a free hot chocolate at a nearby fair on check in. Really? Not even a drink at the hotel bar? That sort of stuff.

Great hotel, comfy beds!
Beautiful hotel with great staff. I was welcomed and enjoyed one of the best beds I've slept in! Common areas and my room were very clean. Staff was kind and responsive. The lobby bar is beautiful and welcoming. I will certainly return, as I have stayed at other hotels nearby, but Sofitel was truly great.
