Perfect for history buffs
A very nice hotel with great service people! Nathan at the front desk was exceptional. He was happy but not overly vivacious ! He helped with the selection of our dinner plans and gave us a map for the historic sites . The rest of the stay was pleasant with one draw back as to the heating system in the room was rather loud. All said , it was a good stay!

So I encountered one significant problem. I could not shut off the TV that was on when I entered the room. I went to the desk clicker in hand. The very kind people at the desk told me they could not try new batteries in the clicker and said they would send a technician to the room. I waited for twenty minutes, and after being driver crazy by the constant music, I took my work down to the lobby and told the nice people at the desk that I would wait in the lobby. I returned to the desk after a bit more than an hour to ask how it was going. They immediately tried to call whomever and told me that they thought the technician might come soon. It was now 10:00p.m. I am 77 years old. I had a five hour ride from NY, which usually takes just over two. I was really unhappy being out of my room past my bedtime. After waiting at the desk, they suggested I return to my room. The technician was just leaving when I arrived. In the process of his leaving, a supervisor called offering me Bonvoy points to conpensate for my inconvenience. I explained that I had no idea what Bonvoy points were and that I was in need of sleep. She explained to me that she would not be there in the morning. I hung up. I should have said It's about me and not you, but I was tired and I didn't want to soil her good intentions. Everyone was very apologetic; they just had no idea. By the way, I would stay at the property again despite it all.

It was good but I did ask for a hypoallergenic room and it was not ready for me. I had to call once in the room and then I was helped. Though I did ask before my trip and again at the front office. Given the room was not properly made up to start it made for a delayed sleep time for me.

The hotel was great! Some inconsistency with the bar tenders making drinks differently. The sheets were clean but there was a stain on one side. The biggest issue is the absolute highway robbery that is $60 a night for valet parking

I was very disappointed in tbe quality of the room. It needs to have greater attention to making the room more comfortable. Also I found tge breakfast to be sub par. This is the Marriott not some 2nd class joint.

Everything was great however the valet was horrible and did not feel as luxurious as the hotel looks and the compared to the service they provided inside.But a comforting and very clean place to stay.

Solid hotel with large lobby area. The valet parking was overwhelmed when I arrived so I parked at the garage just up the street. Please reconsider parking at this lot. They double charged for a 3 day stay with no recourse for refund. The hotel itself was pretty much run of the mill Marriott offering, mostly clean and austere with a few odds and ends that didn't work. I stayed here as part of a wedding block, but would not choose it otherwise. The room was across from 2 ice machines, the staff closet and right beneath the fitness center, so it was pretty noisy. The phone did not work and the bathroom had a couple of maintenance issues. I did not like the 2 sheet "duvet" cover as it just falls apart by halfway through the night, and the slightly dicey comforter pops out just like it did for the last guest in the bed. A lot of difficulty adding a night on at the end.

This property was average for service and quality. They seemed to be understaffed or the staff was new. It took 3 people and 30 minutes to get us checked in because “The way we get bookings from Expedia doesn’t work with our booking system.” Expedia has been around for a long time- it seems like this problem should be addressed. They had a good bar, but the service was slow and the prices really high, considering there are a lot of good restaurant options nearby. The room was small with a tiny fridge and no microwave. Housekeeping didn’t remove dishes when they cleaned one day. Overall, not impressed by the service.
