This is a lovely renovated older building, on the historic registrar. My room was sweet, the bed very nice and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Just be aware that there was no small refrigerator. It also seemed like there was no Netflix, etc. just TV channels. The staff was great.

Great location
Loved the hotel. Lots of character. Nice bathroom and shower, comfortable bed, good size room yet character of historic hotel room. So close to all the old town sights and everything was easy to walk to and see. Only minor issue is parking is not included and the entrance to the adjacent parking lot had an issue with the parking gate so had to go around the block to enter from the other side to park. It really was not a big issue. Did have to walk about 3 steps to get in to the lobby but there might be another way to enter if in wheelchair. Had an elevator once inside.

PHILADELPHIA STAY
A beautiful rehab of an old building/hotel that that is built in the mid 19th century. The building itself is on the NATIONAL ARCHIVES. A nice Italian Restaurant is also located there. Staff was respectful and very helpful. From the 2nd floor or higher, an nice view of the Delaware River. Would stay there again.

This hotel is located in Downtown Historic Philadelphia. That being said the hotel staff were incredible. The room was clean and looked amazing. There are a ton of shops and restaurants all within walking distance.

Our room was charming - gas fireplace and all. Unfortunately, to access the shower, we had to step over a high and wide tub surround with nothing to hold onto. Not good for a couple of senior citizens.

I stayed at the Penn's View Hotel 10 years ago, and what a pleasant surprise it was to find it's still owned by the same family, and that Antonio (front desk) and Alex (Panorama Bar/Restaurant) were both still there. The rooms are unique in many ways. No two are exactly alike. Comfortable beds. THICK towels. Wood floors. Some rooms have small balconies. Be sure to enjoy dinner at the Panorama Restaurant. Also check out their related La Famiglia Ristorante just one block away on Front Street. And within a few blocks walking distance from the hotel are a huge variety of restaurants as well as historical sites. Or take an Uber ride to center city for even options. If you are renting a car, there is a paid (not reserved) parking lot next to the hotel, as well as others a few blocks away. Check with the hotel for more info. Be aware, there is traffic noise, so if that's a consideration, book directly with the hotel and ask for accommodations that aren't on Front Street. Highly recommend this delightful hotel.
