Small complaints, but several of them.
There were two free bottles of water upon my check in. They were not repeated thru my stay. I would have to buy them. The ice machine on my floor was not working properly. I told staff about it for my first two days with no changes made. The free breakfast was standard at best. Two of the days I went there the coffee had run out in my preferred urn (1 day) and in my two preferred urns (1 day). The grid of the TV listings was incorrect every time I looked at TV. Most modern hotels have HBO, or so I thought. Not this hotel. The way the liquid products in the shower and bathroom were dispensed in a good way.

The staff is so nice and customer service is outstanding. It’s in a great location as I was attending a conference at the convention center. It’s a little aged.

Staff was wonderful, room was clean and comfortable. Got some great sleep. But area is sketchy at night, with a lot of homeless people sleeping on the street all around the property. I know they have no control of this, but the area in general just seems unsafe, was harassed at the nearby 7/11 by an unhinged man. Limited dining/drink options especially on a Friday night after coming from a nearby concert venue.

Walking up to the property coming from the train was a journey but once you get the idea of how convenient the train, trolley or Uber is it makes everything go smoothly. The hotel is situated in a great spot located downtown, next to Reading Station ( a galore of places to find food ( now honestly you have to be careful cause everything is not that good- the ice cream next by the soul Food spot is AMAZING, even the soul food spot is crazy( good) lines are long though and that should tell you something ! Once we came in to the hotel of course the policy is no check ins until 3pm but the staff generously offer to hold your bags with tags on them for when you return if you decide to leave and explore Philadelphia. Check in was smooth . Rooms were cool . Nothing too crazy. But when I tell you these 4 individuals makes your stay enjoyable . Tatianna, I believe Sara. The fire bar tender Samir and the amazing Angela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I tell you hospitality at its finest- made the stay especially amazing because she informed us of all transportation, the area, where not to go , how to get some place , the AMAZING food spots. These individuals are what made the stay even better!!

I chose this hotel specifically for the fact of having a king sized bed available. As a matter of fact there were a few. But what we got was a room with two queens. I would not have made the reservation if that were all that was advertised. The lobby was dingy, the windows in the lobby looked like that hadn’t been cleaned in months. Also, there was no mention of where to park to check in. The valet and receptionist looked like they just came from the gym. Very disappointed in this particular property.

We had to wait about 45 minutes to check into our room. 7 people in line before us and only one front desk person. After making our reservation 5 months in advance for a king size bed, we were given 2 queen beds and told that all the kings were sold out. The cable was terrible. You could watch a show for about 5 minutes and then it would freeze and you'd have to restart the TV. Breakfast area was packed with people and many of the items were empty. There were 15 people waiting in line at a time for the hot breakfast items so by the time you got up there it was empty again. I don't recommend this hotel and I wouldn't stay here again.
