Esther's Field is a stunning 17th-century granite house with thatched roof set into the hillside above the beautiful white sands of Sennen Cove with fantastic views of the beach and sea from almost every window.
Recently completely refurbished, it has 4 bedrooms (all with large beds and white bedlinen : two superking size beds, two singles and one bunk comprising two singles), 4 bathrooms (3 shower rooms and one with both bath and shower), two sitting rooms (both with wood-burning stoves and TV and DVD) and a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with Rayburn as well as an induction hob and electric oven. The house feels spacious and relaxing - you will enjoy complete peace and seclusion, while still being within walking distance of everything.
The house sits in an acre of private garden with a large central lawn, a gated wildflower meadow, an upper garden, a hidden garden and many little paths and areas to explore. You will find many exotic plants and a summer house full of garden furniture: tables, chairs, benches and steamer chairs so you can relax in every part of the garden. You can walk down to the beautiful white sands of the cove (lovely little shops and restaurants) in about 8 minutes: fabulous for swimmers and surfers too. The house also sits a minute from the coastal path so you can walk straight out of the house onto the breathtaking coastal paths and enjoy the wonderful coastal walks around Land's End and its many coves and beaches and spot some amazing birds, plants and animals. Esther's Field is beautiful in the spring and summer, and a cosy getaway in the winter months too with wood-fires and books to enjoy.
Land's End: The famous Land's End, the most westerly point of Great Britain, is under a mile away. You can see the well-known Longships Lighthouse and the last few outcrops of rock that stretch out in the sea towards the Scilly Isles from the beach in Sennen Cove. A walk along the coastal path from Sennen takes you to Land's End, and to many other beautiful little beaches around this headland.
Nearby towns: St Just, a charming little town with several pubs and shops, is a few miles away. The larger town of Penzance, with its rail link to London, is 8 miles away. Penzance has many fine old buildings, lots of antique shops and art galleries and a whole host of shops. From here you can also take the boat or helicopter to the Scilly Isles. About 40 minutes away by car is St Ives with its famous Tate Art Gallery.
