The booking was made for a night stay before boarding the Scillonian. On check in it was quite busy and took a few minutes to work out where to check in. Once checked in everyone was helpful with parking and sorting our luggage. We had a triple and although there was a lot of furniture for the room it was comfortable for sleeping, clean for the children and there was an en suite for our room. We were above the bar and obviously there was some noise but it was all quiet by ten thirty and we had a really good night sleep. We booked without breakfast and I would do the same again-the juices were not fit for drinking and the milk was unusual…maybe UHT. I would stay again for the same price just for the good location. We really enjoyed an evening stroll to the beach and some late night pizza and cider in the local surf bar.

The property is extremely outdated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Everything from the linens, carpets, and furniture to the building itself and its surroundings is old and worn. The cleanliness is lacking, and there's an unpleasant odor throughout. There was mold in the bathroom, which was so small that it was difficult to move around in. The towels had a musty smell, and the linens were very old. The noise from the road was disruptive, as the windows are not double-glazed, allowing even conversations from outside to be heard clearly. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also conveniently close to St. Michael's mount. However, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's worth for the money We paid. Breakfast was very good. Room and toilets were clean . Check in experience was not great. I have waited for 10 mins outside. No lift available in the property. Car parking was very tight not suitable for big/long cars.

This was great for a one night stay as a solo cyclist. The owner was very accommodating about my bike stuff and even took care of disposing of my bike box and packing material. Then a late breakfast and a late checkout. As a start to my end to end cycling trip I couldn’t have asked for better. Very basic and above a vibrant pub but for the price, just fine.

Just the ticket
This was one night stay before an early ferry crossing and it was just the ticket. Small twin room with everything we needed for a great nights sleep. Nice people who were helpful and friendly.

The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was amazing on the first morning. On the 2nd morning we were leaving early for the ferry and they made us a lunch bag each. They were huge and tasty, with sandwiches, crisps, chocolate bars, drinks etc. Couldn't fault food or service. The room was ok. My fault not realizing ours was a shared bathroom with another room, and despite signs saying shared with just 1 ohter room, the room next to us had a large family and used ours a lot, so it was difficult to get in the first night and next morning. The next night it was ok as different people. Walls are very thin, so noise was an issue for us and road noise. my daughter slept through, but we didn't. It was centrally located for St Michaels mount and the ferry terminal, parking provided, although sometimes difficult with a large car that we have, if there was people in the bar.
