Market House Cottage: Traditional Fisherman's Cottage

Market House was originally a traditional fisherman's stone cottage. Rebuilt around 1835, one of the oldest buildings in the village.

Old-fashioned Cornwall as it should be, Mousehole boasts outstanding views and great hauls of art, coastal confrontations along the SWC path, surfing beaches around the western tip and is a cook's paradise with saltwater offerings.

The cottage is ideally located to discover Cornwall or simply unwind in the tranquillity of the village. A leisurely 2 minute walk from the scenic harbour, local shops and cafes.

Holidaying in Mousehole.
Fisherman's style cottage. The staircase is narrow and steep so I wouldn't recommend it to elderly or small children. Very central and you can easily walk to the harbour. A great tv! No parking so you have to unload quickly but there are car parks not too far away.

Best place to stay in Mousehole! Coffee & cookies were a treat. The pictures online don't reflect how quaint and cute this cottage. Plan your drive & parking before you get there - it was an adventure for two American girls!

Lovely surprisingly spacious!
Great stay at Market House. Perfect location to access the harbour, restaurants and pubs. Listing suggested we could bring dog but then didn’t however the owner allowed us on this occasion with an cleaning surcharge. Thank you. It saved us having to find an alternative location but suggest listing be updated to reflect this change. Be aware of difficulty parking as one of the main car parks is currently closed. We got lucky after a 10 min wait but it could have been very frustrating. I would not advice trying to take your car up to or near the property. Super narrow streets which would require a superpower in reversing! Harbour car park is 3 mins walk. We simply did a couple of runs between the house and car park.

The cottage was perfect for us. It is beautiful, very clean and has everything you need. Moushole is wonderful and a great base for a few days in Cornwall.
