Kenegie Manor Court - Apartment with Heated Pool in Grade II listed Manor House

Kenegie Manor is a 500 year old Grade II listed Manor House which has been sympathetically restored and converted into a number of individual apartments. Set in 11 acres, guests benefit from the use of the Manor's TENNIS COURTS, INDOOR HEATED SWIMMING POOL, SAUNA, HOT TUB, CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA, CAFE, PITCH AND PUTT GOLF COURSE and RESTAURANT / BAR.

Kenegie Manor is situated in private grounds near the village of Gulval, within WALKING DISTANCE OF THE BEACH and Penzance and is 5 miles from St Ives. The surrounding grounds have spectacular views of Penzance and the very popular fairy-tale island of St. Michaels Mount.

The NEWLY RESTORED first floor apartment has views over the quiet courtyard and it has an abundance of character - with high ceilings and striking features such as the large 3 metre high sash windows. The apartment is reached via a gravel pathway from the ample parking area leading through to the private Manor courtyard. The apartment boasts a King Size bed in the master bedroom and Handmade Wooden Furniture in the dining area and lounge.

Inside and from the lobby, the large lounge is equipped with free Wifi, a Wide Screen Smart TV, leather furniture and a Sofa Bed allowing the property to accommodate up to 6 people, (maximum of 4 adults as sofa bed is really only suitable for children). The dining area also seats 6 comfortably.

Unique to this apartment is the large separate Galley kitchen which is fully fitted with appliances such as Washer and Dishwasher and having the benefit of an additional utility area.

The spacious master bedroom has views over the courtyard and is fitted with modern bedroom furniture. The second double bedroom has twin beds. The high-spec modern bathroom includes a bath and power shower. Every detail in the construction, finish and furnishings ensure a stylish property provides a comfortable stay. The apartment also includes a highchair and cot.

Facilities available from Mid February to End of October are - an indoor heated pool (approximately 50 metres from the apartment door) free to use by our guests, sauna, bar/restaurant, cafe, small shop, games room, tennis courts, mini golf and small children's play area. The Manor House apartments share a private garden at the front of the house, which provides ample space to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Kenegie Manor, now painstakingly and sympathetically restored, enjoys it's new role as playing host to guests seeking tranquillity and other creature comforts.

Penzance, Land's End and the picturesque fishing villages of St Ives, Mousehole and Newlyn are all close at hand. St Ives is a very popular Cornish resort town and is approximately 5 miles away and offers the world famous Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum. Surfers and bathers are spoilt for choice, with beaches such as Sennen and Gwithian (both Blue Flag acclaimed) and Carbis Bay, Porthmeor and Porthcurno Beaches, to name a few which are only a short distance from Kenegie. The area has Theme Parks and holiday attractions such as Flambards, The Eden Project, Minack 'open air' Theatre and the National Seal Sanctuary and many more.

The apartment is within walking distance of the local pub, and Sainsbury's, Tesco & Morrisons are conveniently close.

The apartment was in a nice quiet location within Kenegie Manor Park. Spacious, well furnished & very clean property. We were able to explore many of the stunning beaches to the north & south of the property. perfect! The facilities at the park itself are a little rundown & tired but as the private rental of owners apartment was our reason for booking we were happy. Thankyou

A very attractive apartment within a historic manor house
A very attractive apartment within a historic manor house. The fixtures and fittings included everything we needed. The swimming pool and tennis courts / free use of equipment were a great bonus. Only slight disappointment was that the hot tub in the pol complex was out of order, and apparently has been for several weeks. We would certainly return to this lovely apartment.

With little doubt the quality of this very well appointed apartment is the very best we have stayed in. Exceptionally clean, plenty of room for the four is us, it could easily accept six. Well decorated, great appliances, and rooms. The surrounding grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Own transport will make matters easier but there are local taxis and buses usually available.

Excellent well equipped and well situated apartment
Spacious and comfortable, this property is in an ideal location to explore SW Cornwall. It has everything you need for self catering and the galley kitchen is well laid out and very well equipped. The high ceilings in the lounge enhance the spaciousness. The bathroom is very good and the main bed very comfortable. Communication with both the property manager and the owner was very easy. I highly recommend this property.

Me and my partner had absolutely amazing stay. Nicola (host) was very kind and helpful over the phone. The apartment was very clean and huge. The Manor is well situated but would recommend more for people with car. There is no pavement leading to town and the road is too dangerous to walk but we didn't mind calling taxi. It's not that far away from town. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends!

Enjoyable stay on a holiday park
The Vrbo online listing didn’t make it clear that this is a private apartment within a larger holiday park. However it was still mostly quiet and a good location close to Penzance. The beds were comfy (the pillows far too hard and uncomfortable!), lots of space to relax and a well equipped kitchen too. Thank you!

Property is in a great location and pretty grounds. The holiday park is also brilliant for children as you can use the swimming pool(bookable during COVID), play pitch and put and use the bar and the restaurant if you’re too tired to go elsewhere. Facilities were perfectly adequate, clean on arrival and spacious for a family of 4. Lots of hot water for showers and cooking facilities if you want to make dinner in the apartment some nights. Some of the furniture was a little worn/tired considering the price we paid for a 7night stay. However, overall we had a nice holiday and enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was very well appointed and equipped with many extras we were not expecting. Very comfortable and spacious, we could not have wished for more. The site facilities were not fully available due to Covid 19 precautions, can't really argue with that. Some of the resident owners were very nice to meet and were more than happy to give tips and suggestions. I would recommend this property to friends and family, we thought it was excellent value. Great property in a great location
What a lovely, deceptively large, apartment within the Kenegie Manor house. A light, airy and well decorated holiday home away from home which the hosts have stocked well with everything you need in the kitchen and board games, beach toys etc. Nice to have comfy beds which is rare in holiday homes! Also, it's a great central location for so many towns and beaches nearby and nice to have an on site restaurant downstairs with outside tables for a drink or bite to eat.

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing
Great place, the flat we rented was in the actual manor, very spacious, clean and relaxing. The staff is quite friendly. The food at the pub was ok but not amazing, it also lacked some variety. The holiday park is reasonably well located if you're driving. Expect a 30 - 40min walk along a narrow and steep road if you're walking back from the beach.
