About this property

Bangeston Farmhouse, hot tub, surf beaches, coast path 25% OFF WEEKLY BOOKINGS

Bangeston Farmhouse was completely renovated in 2010 and is the perfect location for a large gathering - whether it be family or friends.

Although fully updated with all the latest technology and conveniences, our farmhouse is at heart an old, historic building with metre thick stone walls and beautiful old floorboards. The farmhouse formed part of the Benagers estate and was probably the old coach house to the ruins of the mansion which can still be seen at the start of the unmade track heading towards East Angle Bay.

We fell in love with this area many years ago and stumbled upon Bangeston Farmhouse in a state of disrepair. Four years later, after a lot of blood, sweat and tears (and a rather large beard!) we felt we had done it justice - treading a fine line between environmental conversion whilst retaining the historic beauty of Bangeston. This part of Pembrokeshire is a hidden gem combining breath-taking countryside and coastline, but remaining mostly untouched. We are now a family of 5 (including the dog!) with a passion for surfing, kitesurfing, paddle boarding, cycling and gazing at the stars (beer-in-hand) - all of which can be enjoyed in this area. Freshwater West is around a mile away and it's only a short drive further to the beautiful beaches of Barafundle, Broadhaven South, Bosherston, Stackpole Quay and Manobier - these beaches are also dog friendly all year round. There are also many miles of coast path to explore within the National Park - the Pembrokeshire Coast Path being easily accessible from Bangeston. Based in the countryside at the end of an unmade track, our farmhouse is a beautiful, quiet and tranquil retreat after a day's activities. If you like a bit more hustle and bustle, the market town of Pembroke is just 15 minutes away - with its magnificent medieval castle and numerous cafes and shops.

Bangeston Farmhouse has 4 bedrooms sleeping 11 in total. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms - a master bedroom with king size bed and bunk room to sleep 4. The second floor has 2 loft rooms both with doubles and an extra single in one. There is restricted head room in these rooms.

A family bathroom is on the first floor and a downstairs toilet and separate large wet room on the ground floor.

There is a hand-fitted well-equipped kitchen, with hard wood work-tops. The kitchen is equipped with an integrated dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, coffee making facilities, blender, washing machine. It leads into an open plan living and dining room and sun room/games area. The farmhouse is heated with solar panels, a wood pellet boiler and underfloor heating. There is a cosy wood burner.

There is a (totally enclosed) south and west facing lawned garden, an outbuilding for storing bikes and boards, a wood burning hot tub, BBQ (Weber) and outside eating area for 12. The table and chairs sit in a corner that is a lovely sun trap. Some garden furniture is provided. Access to the garden is via a gate which can be bolted shut from the inside.

Although it sleeps 11, the house is perfect for both small and large groups and families of all ages. Dogs are more than welcome to come and stay too! We have done our best to create a stylish, well equipped and comfortable home, although we really bought it because of its special location near the dunes, surf and sunsets of Freshwater West.

If you like a hike and great food visit the award winning Cafe Mor an old boat/cafe that sells lobster burgers from the carpark at Freshwater West.

Thank you for looking and reading this far!
During your stay at this farm stay, you'll be within walking distance of Freshwater West. A spa tub and an arcade/game room are available.
  • Just a 2-minute drive from Freshwater West and a few minutes from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
As a guest of this farm stay, you'll find a spa tub, barbecue grills, and an arcade/game room. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Pembroke farm stay is smoke free.

Spot on.
Overall we had a great stay. The house and facilities were spot on. The hot tub was a huge success. The garden could have been tidier and the sofas were a little uncomfortable.

Escape to Pembrokeshire
Bangeston Farmhouse was an amazing place to escape to! Amazing house that's been really well renovated and was clean, comfortable and homely. It's in a fantastic location with great beaches and beautiful countryside just a short distance away. We're already looking forward to another family holiday in Pembrokeshire soon - there's so much to do! Thanks for the rental!

Stayed her for a week at the start of the summer holidays, both adults and kids loved alike. Great location, short walk from the coastal path at East Angle bay, a bit further to the beautiful West Angle bay but doable even with 5 year old kids in tow. The Farmhouse has everything you need and has been sympathetically refurbished with nice period touches. Two lovely pubs nearby is a bonus 👍

Lovely rustic retreat
We, two couples and two dogs, thoroughly enjoyed our week at the house. Everything we needed and more, was available. The garden was a lovely space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and was perfectly secure for our two dogs. The location is fairly remote which is exactly what we wished for although the fabulous beach was only a short drive away. We hope to visit again.

Bangeston Farm House
This charming, rustic cottage proved the ideal spot for our family holiday. Its peaceful location, close proximity to the beaches, its garden suitable for football, Kubbs and Molky and the hot tub all added up to a make a most enjoyable holiday. In addition, the weather that week meant that we could make good use of the barbecue, too! The cottage itself was very well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of room for the 10 of us.

Lovely location and house
We’ve just arrived home after a lovely/relaxing stay at Bangeston farmhouse. Paul was really easy to communicate with and it was a lovely touch leaving a bottle of wine and crips on arrival. The farm house is so welcoming and warm! Amazing space to live in and enjoy as a family. The hot tub and football table went down a treat. Location is spot on when you don’t want to travel far with children and dogs! We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you very much.

Wonderful New Year's Stay
Lovely property and great for extended family/friends. We stayed over New Year and it had everything we needed. Close proximity to some lovely beaches and tourist towns such as Pembroke and Tenby. We didn't use the hot tub due to the weather but the log burner and under floor heating made the farmhouse very snug indeed. Would definitely recommend

Magical
Bangeston Farmhouse is a beautiful property … lovingly restored and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We came together to spend Christmas there and it provided the perfect space for everyone to relax and enjoy being together without being on top of each other . First Christmas ever with no falling out from anyone. The smallest one loved the acoustics in the spacious kitchen where he practiced his screaming ( happily ) daily . Paul is a brilliant host - he promised me fairy lights and we had that and more . Paul was also very responsive to all my ( possibly unnecessary) questions. The location is perfect if you want to amble, hike or wander in the nearby woods . Close to the coastal path and beaches. The hot tub was amazing … watching the stars- we did have a hail flurry one night which was interesting- such fun . I could go on but really you need to see for yourselves . Highly recommend

Wonderful beaches and fab house!
This is a wonderful house! Its clean and has everything you need, and Paul the host is extremely helpful and kind. The table football was fantastic for teens, and the house had plenty of space. It’s in a fantastic quiet but accessible location. Our dog loved our morning strolls from the house down the shaded quiet tracks to Angle Bay as well as being within walking distance of two great pubs in Angle and the beach cafe. The nearby Freshwater beach was incredible! It’s only a few minutes from the house by car and has wide open sandy beaches, dunes, waves, rock pools - no need to travel much further to other beaches to be honest! We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it.

Great holiday house
We were a large group of adults who stayed for a week. The owner was friendly and communicated quickly to our queries. The house was well equipped and we relaxed into the space very easily. Cooking meals was a breeze with the excellent facilities. We loved the quiet location; close to the beaches and coastal path. Having amazing weather meant we made use of the hot tub, bbq and garden games.

Amazing!
We loved our stay at Bangleston! It was the perfect house for a family get together, loads of room and everything we needed was provided. The table football was a great hit with kids and adults. The location was fabulous with walks on the doorstep and the beautiful Freshwater West within walking distance. There is a lovely little produce stand just along the road at the top of the drive, if you walk left out of the cottage and down the track you can peep through a gate and see the walled garden the produce is grown in. We had a fantastic time as a family of all ages and hope to come back soon. We cant thank Paul enough, it was great to meet you and your lovely family and get some tips and advice on what's in the local area and where to go.

Rustic charm in lovely location
The property is very well located for some truly excellent beaches. Our favourite was Freshwater West and West Angle Bay. Freshwater West was so quiet, even with the amazing weather, truly magical. West Angle Bay was lovely for rock pools and a walk. The Wavecrest Cafe is the jewel at this beach, serving amazing food. The house is well equipped and spacious. We persevered with the hot tub and it was worth it. It just needs to be watched over to maximise getting it hot. We were blessed with amazing weather all week so were out and about as much as possible. Barafundle Bay was another lovely visit. There are no local shops, you have to rely on a trip to Pembroke or book Tesco to deliver. The Hibernia Inn, recently taken over, served great food and we have fantastic takeaways from there on two nights. We didn't get a chance to visit Cafe Mor but their new location at The Old Point House looks set to be a raving success.

Perfect space for us
Our annual family get together worked so well at Bangeston Farmhouse: the accommodation is spacious and open, with lots of places for different activities. The table football was a great hit, as was the hot tub, especially after surfing and dune-boarding. Everything we needed was there, for daily life and fun whatever the weather. Very comfortable too. Thank you so much, Paul and Naomi.

Lovely old house with a great kitchen area and a useful boot room. Clean, warm and inviting. Plenty of space. Children loved the table football and the wet-room shower. And just a short walk (half a mile) down to Freshwater Bay! Only minor issue was the tired sofas, which needed re-stuffing.

Brilliant weekend at Bangeston!
Brilliant weekend at Bangeston - house is spacious, comfortable and well laid out - we were 2 families (4 adults and 2 kids + 2 babies and 1 dog) and really enjoyed the set up which is a good blend of open plan lounge and dining area with separate sitting room to the rear. Kitchen is a really good size with its own dining table and was well stocked with a good range of utensils and cookware (we brought a few items of cookware but didn’t need them). The decoration is lovely - simple coastal style with great period features retained. Garden is a good size and the hot tub is a nice addition. Location is great with Freshwater West and West Angle bay a short drive away. Owners were very accommodating around check in and check out times and access arrangements were well communicated. All in all a great property which will not disappoint. Enjoy!

We had a great last minute pre Christmas break at Bangeston Farm - dogs and children included! Fabulous walks and local beaches the Wavecrest cafe at West Angle beach is definitely worth a visit and we were pleasantly surprised to see that along with their delicious food they also served local beers and wine. So many places to visit, Barafundle bay is another stunning beach the stackpole inn very nice eatery and fresh water west was a hit with the children when we learnt about Dobby’s grave! The farmhouse is very cosy and caters for everyone, Paul is a great host very helpful and we’d love to come back in the future. My children didn’t want to leave! The table football was enjoyed by all. Thank you very much :-)
