A great base camp to visit Sri Lanka’s many attractions
Hi Pubudu and Mithila, we enjoyed our stay at Town Lounge in early January. Thank you for the delicious Sri Lankan sweets, ‘Kalu Dodol’, you gave us. Best wishes for a successful 2023! A brief description for the future traveler. Accommodation is superbly furnished with quality furniture and appliances. Hosts are kind, welcoming and helpful representing Sri Lankan hospitality. Nearby, there are several small stalls where you could buy fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, and meat; a supermarket; several food outlets to buy hoppers, string hoppers and many other authentic Sri Lankan food. Town lounge is located on the city fringe of greater Colombo, away from the hustle and bustle of Colombo City, yet easily accessible to Sri Lanka’s famous attractions. It is an hour’s drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport via the Expressway to the accommodation. A day trip to white sandy beaches in southern part of Sri Lanka such as Galle, and Weligama could easily achieved because of the Southern Expressway. A maximum three-hour drive takes you to cities such as Rathnapura and Balangoda which are famous for their precious gems.

Brilliant accommodation with really good owners
The property has all the facilities you could need for your stay, the owners are really good as if there’s any issues they sort them out straight away, as i stayed during the crisis. The property is in a very good location as it has plenty of shops on your doorstep, and the bus station is just a 15 minute walk where you can get a bus to colombo and other places as well. Can’t wait to stop again at the property as it’s very good.
