Hotel location - easy access to the beach. Very friendly staff.
Bathroom sink is clogged and they were not able to fix it. We stayed at 3rd floor Room 5 and bathroom is too small. No space to move around. Restaurant served uncooked chicken (Mango chicken )
It was overall an outrageous experience! I booked a stay good for 10
persons.
First when we checked in, no staff was ready to welcome the guest then they provide us with a different room because they said a/c is not working. Next they PROHIBIT us from using the common pool amenity because they said some other tourist rented the pool exclusively. It was a bad bad bad experience and wont come back there for sure.
Location is quite isolated, no places to eat except the restaurant and it is expensive. I got the family room and located at the far end, with poor internet connection, the television has no remote control, sofa must be thrown away, outlet to plug is limited. Unfortunately, the beach is not safe for young children and non swimmers due to high waves, it is good for surfers.
We had a great time...the room was very spacious and clean...the sink in the bathroom was very small and leaking but that did not affect their rating...If it was a beachfront property it would be perfect. The restaurant food is excellent...the staff are very helpful and nice...
The place is just near the beach. Their restaurant is at the beach front. The staffs are accommodating and very cheerful. Convenient stores are very far from the area so I suggest to be prepared with all the beach stuff you be needing like bathing suits, beach mats, sunblock, aloe vera lotions .. As for the beach, it wasnt too crowded at the time I was there because it is off peak season - the beach was almost empty all throughout the whole day!
Beautiful place definitely a place to relax for a gateway on the beach and a wine at the pool. Family and the kids were happy about the environment enjoyed the walk to the beach. Room was clean overall and excellent customer service very welcoming to the villa great experience to the area. I would recommend this place then Hannas beach resort regardless of the view and beach much cleaner than hannas.
Choosing Evangeline Resort was a mistake on our part. The location was not the best for the purpose of our trip which was to visit tourist sites in Ilocos Norte. It was too out of the way. We arrived for check in at around 7:30 PM. The restaurant was already closed. The one and only restaurant of the hotel was walking distance from our hotel room. The restaurant was not connected to the hotel at all. Our hotel room had no window. The beds were very stiff. We had to ask for toilet paper since there was none provided in the room. The towels were old and dingy. We did not use the hand towels or face towels since they were white but the color was brownish as if they had been used for cleaning. The service at the restaurant for breakfast was poor and inefficient. There was only one waitress attending to the guests. Although fruits are abundant n the Philippines, they only had oranges available. Several items on the menu for breakfast were not even available. Unless the purpose of the trip is to relax at the beach, guests would be better off staying somewhere in Laoag such as in Fort Ilocandia which would be more accessible to visiting all the different tourist spots in the area such as the Patapat Bridge, Bangui lighthouse and windmills, Kapurpurawan rock formation, Bacarra domeless tower, sinking belle tower, Paoay church and Juan Luna shrine.
