the property is outdated. no fireplace screen, (code violation) the sheet rock and paint are peeling. The deck shows extensive rot damage. It's just not worth the money

The property pictures do not show a adequate description of the hotel rooms. The room had wall stains everywhere and uneven paint marks on the ceiling. The bathroom/shower room did not have a proper seal which cause water to accumulate on the floor when you showered, hence the wood rot on the bathroom door and trim. The sink faucet handles turned 180 degrees and were loose and unable to gage water temp. The fireplace would heat up the wires and tv directly over it which was a concern for a fire hazard. Nothing special, not worth $200 a night.

Check in time was 4:00…at 4:05 front desk showed up and it took 25 mins to get checked in. It doesn’t mention anywhere that the rooms butt up to a cemetery. And the continental breakfast was a brown bag with food and water that you pick up at the front desk

The woman checking us in was lovely. That is where the positives stopped. The place was a broken down mess. The bathroom smelled terrible like the stench was in the walls and floor. The pocket doors to separate the rooms were broken and wouldn’t shut so we paid for two rooms but in reality got one. Paint was chipping all over the walls and windows. The bathroom window was permanently painted open so it was absolutely freezing to go pee in the middle of the night. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. The pullout was so bowed it was impossible to sleep on. The breakfast for the suites side of the property was awful… freezing cold potatoes, and consisted of mainly white carbs with more white cards served on more white carbs. We’ve stayed everywhere in PG… trust me, go somewhere else!

Perfect and cozy spot
Clean rooms, great bedding and the fireplace was a nice touch. Would come back and request a room in a different building with better view. 5 mins from beach in car, about 20 min walk. Only bag breakfast which was a bummer, since I paid extra for continental and that isn’t offered there. Don’t upgrade

Cozy little stay
My husband and I stay here several times a year. We love it. This time was like no other. The only thing, is the beds are so hard. They hurt our backs in the morning. We both like a firm bed, but these are much more firm. The pillows aren't great either. But that isn't too big if a deal for us. Tue bathroom was a little beaten up. The side of the door was clearly hit before and was well loved. The walls had a lot of marks on them too. More than we have seen.

We have stayed here before and have always been very pleased with our accommodations which are clean and spacious and comfortable! We truly appreciate the friendliness of the staff as well! This hotel is also pet friendly which is a big plus for those of us with fur-kids! I would definitely recommend staying here! We intend to be back here again for our future Pacific Grove travel vacations!

The hotel is nice. We stayed only for a night. We arrived around 6pm. The check-in was smooth. The reason for 3 stars is the lack of customer service after. I tried calling the front desk several times. Once I was put on hold, but 15 minutes later nobody answered so I hung up. The next day I also tried calling the front desk but nobody answered. Unacceptable. Also, the rooms must have no insulation because we could hear all the noise outside and upstairs. Doors closing and people talking outside at 7am. Overall a good/average hotel with lots of potential.

Pretty disappointing
Very cool set up for the cottages. But they sort of miss the mark. We were looking forward to the fireplace but it was set so low that it was useless. They run basic cable to the very old TV’s and the remotes wouldn’t even allow a change of input in order to run a fire stick or Roku so that we could stream our own apps in the absence of premium channels or pay-per view movies. Breakfast was greasy and terrible.

The usual area we stay in was unavailable so my husband was bummed out about our view. The room was clean & the fireplace worked great. Breakfast was excellent & the staff there were so friendly.

The premises and the rooms are very clean, very comfortable, very nice. They are working on upgrading the building. The sea air has done a number on the wood. But it is still very attractive and they are working on it and the rooms were modern upgraded and comfortable. We have stayed here several times and we will stay here again.
