What's great about this refined apartment is that it's ideally located, close to the centre of Summertown, while being in a very quiet development - set back 60 meters from the main road (Woodstock Road).

Inside, the apartment is recently decorated and recarpeted, with a tasteful wooden floor in the spacious and bright sitting/dining room. The sitting room is bright, with south facing french windows. The room has a dining table for 6 people, 2 sofas, a coffee table and a dresser unit with lots of storage space. If you feel like chilling out after a day of exploring, there is a new 40" Sony TV with Netflix and Amazon Instant Video subscriptions and a Blu-ray player. Music is also taken care of with a bluetooth enabled mini hi-fi.

The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing/drying machine, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine and electric oven and hobs. There is also a good selection of plates, crockery, pots and pans.

The bedrooms all overlook the Summertown tennis courts (available for your use - see Neighbourhood description), which is a wonderful sight to wake up to. The master bedroom contains a double bed and fitted wardrobe. A second double room also has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The third bedroom has a comfortable single bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Being on the first floor (not ground level), the apartment feels very secure and also benefits from an intercom door entry system.

Outside, the apartment sits in a quiet, pleasant development just off Woodstock Road in the leafy and stylish Oxford suburb of Summertown. The development is surrounded by attractive well maintained gardens with benches and green areas to enjoy the outside space. Adjacent to the development is an excellent children's play area, basketball and tennis courts.

Comfortable and well-equipped apartment north of central Oxford
My elderly mother and I had a good stay at the apartment while visiting my child at Oxford U recently. The apartment is within easy walking distance of shops in Summertown, and a bus route to the centre of Oxford. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped with all one needs. There is no fan in the bathroom, which was a big dark and musty, but otherwise tip-top. Walls in the building are thin, but the neighbours were all quiet so that was no problem. The owner responded extremely quickly to messages - the cleaners had not advised him of certain issues, but he addressed them promptly when we did so. I find the lock box system a bit complicated/stressful, especially when leaving to get a bus to the airport, but it works well as long as you have instructions in-hand. I would recommend a sheet of instructions on how to use appliances for future visitors, especially those of us from North America not as familiar with UK appliances (e.g., the washer/dryer in-onea, what kind of soap/detergent to use in the dishwasher, etc.) :-)

Wonderful Place to Stay!
Danny's flat is clean, comfortable, spacious and in a wonderful location for exploring the best of Oxford. I would recommend this lovely place to anyone who is wanting to visit Oxford with their family, our teens were delighted with the space and comforts of home.

An Oxford Christmas
My family stayed here for a week over the Christmas holiday. We buzzed through London in four days and were thrilled to be able to slow down and relax in Oxford. The apartment provided space for all of us to spread out...very important for my two teenagers. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. And, it was well located. We were not in the bustle of the City Centre, though buses were nearby and downtown was only 10 minutes away. We could even walk if the weather was nice. Also, shopping in Summertown was very convenient, so we did not feel isolated when we returned to the flat for the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed for the occasional meals at home. And, we really appreciated the washing machine and a good shower. A very good family option. Many thanks to Danny for the hospitality.

Prime Location
Excellent location for exploring Oxford area being about a 30 minute walk to Oxford city center. Summertown shops and restaurants just around corner (we highly recommend Mamma Mia’s!). The apartment was clean and orderly and in a very quiet location set back from the main (Woodstock) road. Beds were comfortable but being used to a queen we found the double bed a bit narrow. The shower was excellent but the toilet flush was a bit temperamental and the bathroom sink had VERY low water pressure. Kitchen was well equipped and Dan even left us tea, coffee, milk and bread which was a lovely surprise! We were not big fans of the induction stove but others may be used to this (hot plate turns off if you maneuver the pan - a safety feature I believe but we found it frustrating to cook on). All in all we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Absolutely the best feature here was the free parking in a designated garage - parking in Oxford is non existent! Also thank you Dan for the visitor’s parking passes which allowed my brother and sister in law to visit from London for a day. We visited the Ashmolean which I also highly recommend.

Perfect loc
We loved our stay in Oxford. We were there for 3 weeks and felt very at home. Danny is beyond kind and responsive. This flat was great for my family, the kitchen is well stocked, there is a table for 6 people and a hutch. There's even a little desk for your computer. Having a washer/dryer is a life saver. The bathroom is a very nice size and the shower is large, which isn't our typical VRBO experience in the UK and Europe. Plenty of room to move around and wash your hair without banging your elbows (if you know, you know). The beds are smaller than we are used to (which we knew when booking), but VERY comfortable mattresses. Bedrooms are equipped with hampers and wardrobes/closets. The living room is spacious. There were 3 of us and we had a couple of friends over to visit and we all fit comfortably. The living room has great sofas, probably the most comfortable I've had at a VRBO. The TV is set up with all the streaming services we could ever want. The location is SUPER convenient. The street is right off Woodstock with is a main street into Oxford. The bus stop is just at the end of the driveway from the flat. We had a weekly bus pass and you can get to town in about 5 minutes by bus. Some days we just walked because it's only 2 miles to central Oxford. Around the corner and down the street is the main stretch of Summertown with tons of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely flat, very quiet.
Close to Oxford and an easy walk to groceries, we were very satisfied with this flat. Danny is a very attentive host who helped us in any way that he could. The kitchen is well-equipped, the flat is clean, quiet and comfortable. Would recommend to a family wanting a convenient launch-pad for Oxford and the surrounding area.

City break.
Easy location for getting into Oxford, good restaurants a few minutes walk away. Kitchen and bathroom have both clearly been refreshed, but decor tired in rest of flat. Comfortable beds. We felt our car was too large for the suggested parking places and may have caused obstruction, but we parked easily 2 roads away, and were out during the day. We enjoyed a day and a half in Oxford and a drive into the Cotswolds. Parking in Westgate Centre was excellent. Super meal at Quad in the covered courtyard.

This was the perfect little flat for visiting Oxford. Located just on the bus line, about a 15 minute trip into City Center. Also within walking distance of Summertown for shopping and a few restaurants. Well-equipped small kitchen, bathroom apparently recently upgraded with a terrific shower. Comfortable beds. Sofas are a bit low to the ground (tall husband was somewhat uncomfortable). Danny was very responsive whenever I had a question. Flat was clean and quiet. Set in a cul-de-sac so the traffic noise was minimized. Would rent again.

A lovely light flat in central location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Danny's lovely flat! The flat is exactly as pictured on the website and is thoughtfully furnished with everything one could need. The kitchen is really well stocked - one could do lots of cooking although we preferred to eat out! The location is ideal for central Oxford ( about 5 minutes bus ride to town) and within easy walking distance of the Summertown shops and bus stops and cafés. Danny was extremely helpful and responded to all of my queries very quickly. The information given about the flat is very complete. The only slight glitch was the key safe by the front door which we found hard to open. We managed though and all was well! I would definitely recommend this flat and owner! Thank you Danny!

The property was in good clean condition on arrival and the owner was helpful and sorted out additional parking. It was furnished to a good standard and the Kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The local area had all the facilities we needed and the City Centre was only 25 to 30 minutes walk away along the main road or along the Oxford canal.

Perfect Place to Stay in Oxford
My colleague and I stayed at this lovely apartment while attending an annual conference in Oxford. It is just as advertised and was just perfect for our needs. Very bright and the view from the bedrooms is private yet open vista with great view of the tennis courts. Great way to wake up in the morning. Well appointed kitchen. Spacious living area. Just a few steps from the bus stop, which takes you to city center in about 5 minutes. Will definitely book the next time in Oxford. Thanks Danny!

Clean and what we needed
The apartment is exactly what we needed and the price is right. The instructions to get in the place and clear and easy. Parking was a big plus. No hassle stay, except the 10am check out seemed a bit early, but we managed. No one was there right at 10am demanding that we leave immediately. Good place overall. Would stay again.
