Cheap Is Expensive 👎
We checked in early, courtesy of Mr P., the proprietor. Courtesy, however, was somewhat lacking, as we found his manner to be less than gracious. Upon taking possession of the room, while unloading our luggage, there was a strong waft of nicotine smoke blowing in from the maintenance person, who was in the process of cleaning adjoining rooms. Sadly the “fresh” bedsheets also reeked of tobacco. In fairness the room was otherwise clean and welcoming; though not, however, was the bathroom. There was little or no hot water, no stopper cap for the sink and only one cup made available for coffee in the morning. Morning could not come quick enough, as the window covers did not altogether exclude the outside lighting. We found the room very chilly and the heating attachment very noisy when it kicked on. That noise did little to offset regular activity sounds from adjacent rooms because of the thin walls. In summary, this one night stay was uneventful and less than satisfactory. Although the price for the room was iinexpensive, we didn’t get full value.

Leela’s inn was small, immaculate, and friendly. Exceeded expectations for a roadside motel. The downside is Flesherton’s lack of dining options - and that’s not the fault of Leela’s. Bonus points for a really great shower!
