Almost lost our precious dog
The room was so filthy we had to ask for a new room, the second room was not even cleaned either the third rom was alright. Our dog ate something that was on the floor of the first room and became very sick, thankfully she recovered, horrible experience I didn’t sleep much.

It was a good home base for our visit for the rendezvous. Seemed to be an older place but it was convenient and close to many options for dining.

I stay at a lot of hotels with breakfasts. This was the worst. Old pastries, cold and frozen meat, broken pancake machine, old fruit, “water” in orange juice machine, no creamers for coffee, coffee had to be obtained OUTSIDE the breakfast area, slop on the waffle maker, how old was that waffle batter anyhow?, and CORN DOGS as a breakfast meat choice. Large breakfast room with only 2 victims in it - wonder why!

We have stayed here before and we were happy. This time you could see decaying facade. Check in took forever. 1st we had to wait 10 minutes for the only person working to show up because he was running around the hotel trying to help people. Computers went down. Our bathroom looked like it was cleaned with a dirty rag. As far as breakfast, no one working and literally no food available. There was one egg in the fridge. Such a change from 3 months ago. They are trying but they need more employees.

They were not sensitive to my wife’s handicap concerning room assignment she had to walk a long way to our room. Also I was awakened by a bug crawling on my arm, we didn’t find any evidence of bedbugs

The bare necessities of life.
Bedding and bathroom was clean, floors had just been updated recently. The property needs a lot of updates, generally. Lobby has that old hotel smell. The front desk lady was very good. Breakfast was minimal.

The property was easily accessible from the highway with good dining options nearby. Although the floors appear to have been updated, the room we stayed in was cramped and dingy. Ceiling tiles were stained, walls were gouged with scratches, the window was cracked and covered in cobwebs from the outside. Also, there was no fan in the tiny bathroom so showering caused the walls to sweat. Breakfast consisted of frozen sausage and egg portions in a baggie that you had to heat and assemble. No orange juice and they were also out of coffee creamer. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the shower pressure/temperature was excellent.

Everything was good, we checked in late and were checking out early so we really didn’t use the facilities. It does have a nice pool area. The only issue we had was the breakfast wasn’t ready at 6am as advertised. The employee was putting it out at 6:15. Not everything including creamer, was not out till 6:30. Might not be an issue to some but when you’ve got a lot of windshield time to put in, be punctual is important. Other than that it was a good value for the price. All the staff were very nice and friendly. We’d stay there again.
