Pretty apartment in the Bergisches Land on the edge of the landscape conservation area

Our apartment is located in a small village near Marialinden. It is located on the 1st Upper floor and loft of a detached house with separate own entrance It has a beautiful kitchen with a fitted kitchen with induction hob and complete equipment. Adjacent is the large and spacious living room with a fireplace and a nice large couch.

The bedroom has a large 2m x 2m double bed and a spacious wardrobe.

The bathroom was recently completely modernized and has a bath / shower / BD and a sink with a large mirror.

2 more beds are in the loft which can be reached from the living room via a spiral staircase. Here the headroom is restricted by the pointed floor.

The apartment has a beautiful covered balcony for breakfast in the morning and its own terrace in the garden.

We have a wallbox for electric vehicles on the property and tenants are welcome to charge their vehicles with us. Our wallbox has a type 2 plug.

A supermarket is located in Marialinden where a bakery is open on weekends. Here you will also find restaurants and inns. The nearest train station with connections to Cologne and buses to Siegburg and Bonn is approx. 6 km away. It is about 5km to the A4 motorway towards Cologne. In about 30 minutes you are in Cologne.

The nature reserve Schlingenbachtal is within walking distance and many beautiful hiking opportunities. In Lindlar approx. 10 km away there is a very interesting open-air museum about rural life in the Bergisch region.

We had a fantastic holiday at this lovely accommodation. We had everything we need and the property was nice and clean. It was very handy for any shops we needed. In the immediate vicinity it was very quiet and peaceful and very handy for walks, cycle rides and hiking direct from the house. Visiting Cologne and Bonn was very easy and they are great places to visit. The hosts were very friendly and easy to contact if needed. Would really recommend this to anyone interested in a relaxing holiday whether it’s couples or families as suits everyone. Thank you for a great holiday.

Wonderful Stay
This apartment was the perfect 'home base' for us on our trip to Germany. It had all of the amenities we needed and the location and views were very picturesque. Marc was incredibly helpful and quick to respond throughout the process. During check-in, he walked us through the apartment and made sure we had everything we needed. The stay was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting western Germany.

A wonderful, peaceful, relaxing break away from the hub-bub
It was a very spacious, very well equipped apartment on the edge of a lovely and quiet village setting. The pace of life is slower and the countryside so peaceful. Though the family are next-door and underneath, they were not at all intrusive and were very mindful of their guests. To be able to sit out on the balcony for breakfast or supper was simply marvellous. 30 mins to Koln or to Bonn or indeed nearby villages for food (Much or Lindlar - to eat good local fayre) was amazing

Over the top perfect
It was an upstairs accommodations, so not handicapped accessible, but if that is not an issue, the place was just perfect. Not too far out of town to make it convenient to go into Cologne, but yet far enough to be peaceful and relaxing. The dwelling was modern and very up to date, and our hosts were delightful. All in all it was a magnificent for our last stop in Germany. Cheers

Het huis van Mark en Birgit is een mooi huis en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Bijna te vergelijken met een grote flat. De omgeving is heuvelachtig en het is er heerlijk rustig. Ons verblijf is ons goed bevallen; even helemaal weg van de hectiek van Nederland. De info op de site kloppen allemaal. Idem grote badkamer en stortdouche. Heerlijk tot rust komen. Drei Wochen im Bergischen Land
Eine sehr gut eingerichtete und geräumige Wohnung. Sehr sauber und liebevoll dekoriert. Sehr gemütliches großes Bett. Riesiges Bad mit Wanne und Dusche. Insgesamt wunderwunderschön gelegen im Bergischen Land. Eine ausgesprochen nette Vermieter-Familie, die sich Zeit für uns genommen hat und die jederzeit ansprechbar war. Die uns einiges über das Bergische Land und über das Leben im Bergischen Land erzählt hat. Es waren drei wunderbare Wochen in unserem bergischen Ferien-Domizil.

Entspannung bei toller Aussicht
Wir sind als Familie mit vier Erwachsenen und einem kleinen Hund angereist und wurden sehr freundlich von der Gastgeberfamilie begrüßt, die uns die Wohnung zeigte. Die Aussicht auf die wunderschöne Landschaft – und bei gutem Timing sogar auf die Kühe – hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet, sodass wir uns von Anfang an heimisch gefühlt haben. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, wir kommen gerne wieder!

The lovely countryside
