I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have always had pleasant experiences in the past. However, during my most recent visit, a few aspects left room for improvement.
The check-in process was quick and efficient, which I appreciated. However, when inquiring about off-site parking options, the staff seemed unsure, which was surprising given that there is no parking on-site. Additionally, we were informed that the handicap parking spot located right outside the door (which did not require valet service) was still charged the valet rate of $48 per night. This felt a bit excessive, especially since the driver in our party uses a cane.
Our room itself was comfortable, but a few details could have been better. While earplugs were thoughtfully provided, likely due to the construction noise that began at 7 am, the room lacked extra pillows and bed linens in the closet. There was only one robe for our two-person stay and no slippers, which seemed like an oversight. The Byredo toiletries in full sized bottles is a major plus for this hotel and served to enhance the wonderful shower.
The staff at the lobby bar were friendly but unfortunately did not seem familiar with how to make a proper Americano, which was a minor disappointment.
Despite these points, our overall stay was good, just not up to the consistently outstanding level I’ve come to expect from this property. I hope these small issues can be addressed to ensure that future stays meet the usual high standard.
