The hotel was in a great location, but was right across from a bar that played music until 3am and made sleep impossible. The mattresses were a thin pad and the pillows and comforter were sort of discolored which made them look dirty, hopefully they weren’t. No housekeeping came to change towels during the 3 night stay. There was no front desk attendant for most of my stay.

Good location but street a little rundown. Easy walk to harbour, central shopping & trams. Little further to train station - but walkable. Room was cold, but extra duvets provided when requested. Windows old so street noise was loud - we bought ear plugs to resolve. Great bathroom & comfy bed.

Very convenient location. Lots to see and do within walking distance. Only a 15 minute walk to Oslo S train station. Very good Indian restaurant right next door. There is a souvenir/gift shop across the street as well as a 7 Eleven. Only steps away from city hall which you can enter and explore for free. The check in was self service at a kiosk in the lobby. It worked perfectly and was very quick. The hotel was quiet and our room was very clean and updated. The elevator was efficient. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oslo.

The room was tiny, and not in a cute way. We booked a double room with a double bed. The reality is that this room should have been a single room with a single bed, but it was way too small for two people. The double bed took most of the space in the room. There wasn't even space to open up one big suitcase, let alone 2 (for 2 people). There was half a meter gap - or less - between the bed and the walls on the sides, barely enough to get in and out of bed. The storage space (e.g. cabinet, hangers) was very minimal, and the remaining free space might have done for one person (barely a chair and a tiny table passage), but certainly not for 2 people who share a room. There was no kettle in the room and no means of making any coffee or tea. On the positive side, we were eligible for free coffee in the breakfast area free of charge (though breakfast was not included in our deal). Nice, but a poor substitute in case you want a cup of tea later in the day! Separate from all the above, the powered vent in the tiny shower room (which had no other ventilation opening) did not work. We informed the staff and the response wasn't patient or kind. They supposedly "looked into it" and reported back that there was no problem, it simply "needed more time". The fact is it never got the shower room dry even though we used it very little. I guess it was supposed to either work all the time (very quietly, according to staff) or when the light was on - but it didn't.

With self check-in and check-out, coupled with online booking, there was zero interaction with humans so no “service” to rate. I suppose that keeps rates low but a local’s welcome and ability to help problem-solve or answer questions was missed.

I had a really nice time at this hotel. It’s a no frills hotel, which is very nice and easy to self check in & out. There is a parking garage you can park at right across the street and you are only about a mile from central train station. I would stay here again and I loved Norway!!!
