Stargate hotel is convenient in location and a cheap option but unfortunately the rooms are just straight up stinky- sort of a smoke mixed with mold smell. The staff tried their best and were responsive to our concerns about the smell in our first room and moved us to what was an "upgraded" room but it unfortunately still smelled. I think it is just an old hotel and maybe the culprit was very dirty air vent filters (which I noticed when looking around the room). The breakfast was decent, the hotel shuttle was on time and the view was amazing, but it is hard to get over the smell!

Super location. Just above Rinku town station. If you stay on higher floors, the view was magnificent. The rooms are big but the hotel needs updating. Noise from the train is annoying. Good value.

Here’s an improved version of your review: Beware when booking through Expedia! The room’s smoking status (smoking or non-smoking) was not disclosed until after I completed my booking. At check-in, the staff refused to change my room from smoking to non-smoking, citing my “strict booking” through Expedia as the reason. The room itself was disappointing – it smelled stale, felt outdated, and was somewhat unclean. It seemed like a time capsule from the 90s in need of a refresh.

View from the room were Fav! Stunning Buffet style breakfast you should try. That Buffet open longer than other hotels. And delisious. Even rainy day you won't get wet. Connected with Rinku station. Few convinience stores around.
