I was travelling with a friend and booked a private room with TV, which got us two bunk beds and a cupboard to ourselves. When we arrived, there was no TV in the room, but the staff member who was on that day was very helpful. and set it up for us.
The room was quite spacious and the cupboards were huge (enough for 4 people), though the wardrobe was full up with bits and pieces - no fewer than 4 doors and a spare bunk bed ladder were being housed in there - which made it difficult to use.
Even though it was shared bathrooms, there are two of them for a pretty small hostel, and both are quite spacious, private bathrooms. The one on the lower floor was showing its age a bit more than the other, but there was absolutely nothing I could find wrong with either. The laundry facilities were decent too, although they don't have a dryer, just a spin dry in the washing machine. Rather than hang our laundry outside (it had been raining, and this is in winter), we hung them over the spare top bunks under the heater and nearly everything dried overnight.
In terms of the location, the hotel is close to the subway and Hankyu lines and not too far from Shin-Osaka station (for the Shinkansen and other JR lines). Around the local station there are a lot of restaurants and bars, and the likes of Namba and Umeda are both short train rides on the same subway line.
