Good location but not totally "resort" at all.
Elevator was extremely crowded and not air-conditioning on it. The room was extremely small. And this hotel changes for using the swimming pool around 17 USD for each time you use and only for 1 hour, you have to been kidding me!!!!! However, room was very clean, and nearly to subway station and restaurant areas.

Stayed 4 days at the property. The only reason why I didn’t put a 5 stars is because of their swimming pool fee policy. One of the main reason we had booked this hotel was because on the Expedia description it stated that we would have access to the pool as part of our stay. But when we arrived at the hotel for our stay, they said that you needed to pay a fee to use the pool, 3,000 yen per adults and 2,500 yen per kid to have access to the pool for 1h, kind of a rip off. I talked to Expedia and the hotel staff, as they were not transparent and up front on their description when I did my booking, but that went nowhere (a bit disappointing from Expedia that they did not step up to offer anything and also the hotel for not being up front on their fees) Other than that our stay was great. The rooms are very small but I think that is the standard in Japanese hotels The buffet is great with a great mix of local delicacies and options tailored to tourists The public baths were great, just an FYI it is a traditional Japanese bath so you have to go down to your birthday suit. My son and I were a bit taken by surprise when we got there, but we went with it and it was a good experience to do. Everyone just attends to their own business Location is great, the subway is attached to the hotel, which makes it super easy to get around In summary would stay there again

The staff was very friendly and helpful any time I had questions. There is a Family Mart on the 2nd floor and. 7/11 a few feet away from the hotel door. The hotel is also attached to the train station which was super convenient! 2 stops from Namba/Dotonbori/Glico sign area. A block away is a huge strip of stores for shopping with tons of local restaurants- found this by accident. The room was clean and cozy (small). What stood out about this APA hotel room next to the others was the bed was raised so I was able to store my suitcase under the bed which was super convenient since there isn’t a lot of space in the room. I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler and would recommend it to anyone! Oh! There are laundry facilities inside the hotel. This was a plus since I was traveling for a few days at this point.

The room that I stayed in had a damp smell when I put the air con on the vents around air con we’re black. I did not feel well after being in the room with it on and only felt better after leaving the hotel the air con needed to be cleaned
