Too Close to Disney
Shame on us for not doing a Google Earth search to see how close to Disney we really were. Our bedrooms were literally next to I-4 and a major Disney exit was just a mile or so down the road. Traffic was loud and horrendous at all hours of the day. We had sound machines which helped with noise at night. The listing says Davenport, which I guess it might technically be but for all intents and purposes, it was Orlando.Unit 6407 was outdated. The carpet needs replacing, the showers need an overhaul and the toaster and coffee pot were barely working and there wasn't enough silverware to avoid running the dishwasher more than ecologically sound. Also, the sheets were of mismatched sizes so making the beds was a challenge. These are all inexpensive fixes and the owner needs to make a visit to make improvements before I could recommend anyone stay in this particular unit.The pool was great when the heater was working. By March, people started putting down towels to save seats early in the morning sometimes not claiming these chairs until after lunch. Either buy more chairs or enforce the "no saving seats" rule. The MANAGEMENT COMPANY was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to anything we needed. Overall, if you need a place to stay for a few days while visiting The Mouse, this property is fine. But for a longer getaway, choose a different unit.
