Wonderful stay, close to train station to Munich
THIS PLACE IS EVERTYHING YOU NEED. I stayed with 5 friends here, we had 2 rooms (2-bed rooms). Beyond spacious with the square footage. This hotel began our 12 day stay in Germany and needed a hotel close to Munich. This was it. The included breakfast was amazing. Just a short taxi ride to train station and all of Munich waiting for you. The taxis are easy to call even when just a little English could be spoken. The staff was beyond friendly, again even when there was little English spoken. My only comment to hotel was the description of property is not correct in profile. Profile says there is a "restaurant/bar" on site and there is not. One friend had to wait in parking lot for us to arrive even though I told her according to site there was a restaurant she can wait for us in. The space they may be referring to is the seating area for breakfast. That is my only complaint and I wish they would update their profile on that. Other than that, you will not be disappointed with hotel. There is a market across the street but I never visited. This is in an industrial and neighborhood area, so nothing around at night to do without calling a taxi to come get you. Again, great stay though.

The Hotel Alpenglühen was good and rooms were neat and tidy. The stay was also comfortable. The complimentary buffet breakfast was not lavish with lot of items but adequate for good breakfast. The location is little far away for S-Bahn station but Bus station is available nearby. Note: The bus service is not available in Olching area on Sundays and you need to walk or take a taxi to S-Bahn station.

We were at the property around 10:30 pm due to our rental car had a flat tire. We tried to call the hotel after we got the flat tire which was about 5:00 pm and no one answers phone. We had very hard time to find it, because the sign with the name of “ Alpengluhen” was not lit by any light. One cannot see it from gate, while the hotel building wall has a very bright lighted sign says “ B......... Group” which made us think this is not the right place. Luckily enough some customer came back so we learned from them: the hotel staff will leave everyday around 4:00 pm. No one on duty until next morning. So we could not check in at all. We wend up looking for another hotel at that late of the night desperately in that totally strange place. No one could help. We will never forget this nightmare experience.

Pleasant stay, but check the times of everything.
Arrived roughly 8 pm, on a saturday night and found entrance door locked and no one visible in reception area, and not many cars on the car park. Fortunately a guest came to the front door as he was going out, and he was able to show me (in the dark) where an adjacent outside safe was, where my room key and paperwork were. Apparently the reception is not manned after certain times. My room was very clean and comfortable, bed and pillows were good, and internet reception was good. Included breakfast, was of continental type, but was wholesome, and filling enough, and morning papers provided. I stayed for 2 nights, but no one attended to the room between the 2 days, maybe thats their system. Interestingly, breakfast was served till 10.00, but check out time is also 10.00! Seemed rather early, maybe again its the german way. The room was bright and pleasant, but no tea or coffee provisions were left in the room.

Nice hotel. Good continental breakfast. Bed was comfortable but pillows to high for my taste. My problem was that they gave us an handicap accessible room and was messy when trying to shower. I asked for a non accessible room and was told this was all they had left. It is kind of hard when you have 4 adults that need to shower. Floors don't dry very quickly and there were no walls at all between the shower , sink and toilet.

Expensive - but probably due to Oktoberfest.
The hotel was quite nice, but expensive, but I guess it's the time of the year where all is expensive in Munich.
