Very unclean - roaches were in the bathroom, on the tv/cabinet area. Room had a weird smell. Overall, it I didn’t enjoy my stay- prices are exorbitant for such a shoddy and nasty place. I do mot recommend staying here.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were decently friendly. The 5 minute drive to Camp Pendleton and the short drive to the beach was great. The only thing to beware of is a surprise $100 cash deposit that you have to leave at a certain time so they can inspect your room to get back. They have a sign om the front desk that their card machine doesn't work. I checked in Monday left Thursday and the sign was still there. It's a shame about the deposit. I enjoyed the stay otherwise.

Check-in required cash only deposit but not for all guests just certain ones because when checking out the front desk asked if I had made a cash or card deposit. The room smelled clean and looked clean but the furniture was disgusting. The chair had all kinds of stains, the bed sheets had small black marks and one of the pillows had a palm sized stain that looked like blood. The bathroom was clean and updated, but the shower would not get cold. When on cold setting, the temp of water was hot, and when turned to hot it felt boiling. The water also heavily smelled of sulfur and would stink up the room after every shower or sink use.

the hotel room served its purpose but the pictures were deceiving, i was shocked when i entered the room and even more scared to use the restroom in the middle of the night but i saw no bugs so that’s a plus! the area around there seems super sketchy, behind a gas station and across the street from a casino but it was quiet.

Pleasant check in, they called us to confirm check in time. Clean and somewhat maintaintaned but old. Rust on fixtures in bathroom and plumbing behind toilet. Rust didn't bother us. Repainted and clean vinyl flooring. No one at service counter after 9ish pm to 8am to maintain safety. Homeless sleeping behind hotel, but didn't interact with guests. Active casino behind hotel and two nearby restaurants closed, one shares a parking lot. Businesses around didn't bother us. Casino entrance/exit is away from hotel. Property sits right next to very busy and noisy highway. Breakfast/coffee starts at 8a after we left each morning for work. No coffee pot in room. But we did have a frig and microwave. Pool was in good shape. Property was fully booked and while in room never heard our neighbors even through walls. We stayed in middle on 2nd floor. We were limited to variety of hotels do to several conventions/activities in San Diego and this being a very last minute business trip, so we made due. Glad it was clean inside. They have no control over closed restaurants and highway. But should report homelessness, have earlier breakfast/coffee hours, and someone posted in office through the night. I mentioned businesses around and highway because this could potentially lead to cars being broken into. We didn't leave ANYTHING in our car and did feel safe in our room.

Scammers own this hotel
Do not stay at this hotel! The owners are scammers. They charged me for 'damages' to sheets. It was soda spilled causing a stain. They charged me $160 cash money. Which i paid and got a receipt. 9 minutes after i left, they charged my credit card $160. Im still dealing with this issue. Do not stay at this hotel.

Room was a bit musty smell to it and door would not fully close had to be slammed or it could be pushed open low water pressure and bedding was not cleaned. Had you use our sleeping bags as a liner. No other room available so just stayed that night forfeited last night.
