Bus stops are only a short distance away, and it takes 10 minutes to go to Jack London Square, downtown Oakland, and the 12th St. BART station. San Francisco and Berkeley are both easily accessible from this house in a 10-minute drive or Bart (train) ride. Additionally, Alameda city and the beach are a 10-minute drive away.
This house features two lovely bedrooms in a bohemian style. A warm and inviting kitchen and living room in a modern and mid-century design, as well as a full bathroom with artistic decoration. This beauty also provides a stunning, expertly planted garden with a cozy fire pit, a soothing hammock as well as a BBQ for a cookout to take in the perfectly tempered Oakland weather.
This home was constructed roughly 40 years after the historic California Gold Rush came to an end. You are renting the lower unit of a two-unit house; once the main communal door is opened, you must proceed directly to the door in front of you to enter this lovely house. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet despite the home's proximity to downtown Oakland. I adore spending time in the backyard during the day and at night. Be cautious not to approach raccoons or possums at night as they might pay you a visit. When I'm not on business trips, I reside here, so this is a comfortable home.
This house can accommodate 6 to 8 persons. The master bedroom is in the front bedroom, which has a queen bed, and the second, much larger bedroom, which has two full-size beds. High-quality mattresses, linens, and duvet covers are available from me. All necessary appliances, cookware, pots, pans, and condiments are provided in the kitchen. Additionally, I am offering tea, coffee, creamer, and sugar.
The living room is where families and friends gather to socialize, watch TV, and play games. You can view movies and documentaries on the streaming service that is available on the smart TV in the living room. A board game and a game of corn hole are also available for the backyard.
The bathroom is roomy and fully equipped with relaxing bath salts, clean high-quality towels, and other comforts. If you'd like, I can also give you a pack 'n' play and an air mattress. If you're traveling with family or friends, this house is ideal.
Guest access
This is a two-unit house and this unit you are booking is all yours. The slippers on the shoe rack at the main entrance of the house are for you to change to keep the house clean, I also have backyard slippers at the back door entrance. You can also use the facilities in the backyard. There is no garage or driveway, so if you are driving or renting a car you will need to park on the street. However, you don't necessarily need a car to visit many places from this house; you may take Uber instead. However, there is a ton of free parking available; you just need to remember to move your vehicle on days when the streets are being cleaned.
Other things to note
This is a quiet neighborhood and a residential area. Other guests beyond those indicated on the reservation are not allowed. Send me a detailed query if you'd like me to take your request for visitors into consideration. Additionally, remember to register every visitor while making the reservation. After 10:00 pm, loud noises or music are prohibited out of consideration for the neighbors. Use the fire pit with care. Please avoid leaving food, trash, or leftovers in the backyard because doing so will encourage additional wild animals to congregate there.
I mainly live here. When I go out of town, I make the home available for short-term rental. This means the house is very cozy, not a sterile hotel setting. I have my books, art, kitchen utensils, etc.
My home is secure through ADT and I have security cameras and noise detectors around the house, in the main entry door and backyard. I will give you detailed instructions on how to use the security system to arm the house when you are sleeping, leaving, or staying in the house and call for emergency service in case of any emergency station.
Please treat my home like you are visiting a favorite relative! Don’t water any of the plants, unless I request you to do so. If you stay longer than 2 weeks, I might ask you to water the plants. I appreciate your care and respect for my home.
