It's truly an experience not just a home. Amazing One of a Kind Cabin in the beautiful Sierra Mountains-20 minutes from the south gate to Yosemite National Park and 5 min. from our charming Bass Lake. Spectacular views and amazing property with incredible rock walls plus a professional horseshoe pit.
Angel's Rest is a families dream for a special time - Our cabin is warm and inviting and ready to help you make some wonderful memories. We promise you will want to come back! #thecabinYosemite

The Space:
Beautiful Rock fireplaces. Amazing rock shower. Fun bar area with a pool table to boot. Outside is just as inviting as inside - you won't know where you want to spend your time more. You really wont want to leave the cabin once you get there. There is such a peace and beauty to this location that will keep you coming back. Decoration and furnishing match the cabin feel which makes it even more special. All open floor plan, loft sleeping with no doors and no privacy. Steep steps to get up to the sleeping area which can be challenging for some. Please note this is an original Cabin - kept up and maintained, beautiful but please come with realistic expectations.

Guest Access:
You have access to the whole cabin and surrounding .5 acres. Two parking areas and outside sitting areas.

The loft where the beds are - are truly a ladder like step situation. It will be difficult for elderly people - doable depending upon their agility. Please take note! This is a true cabin.

Upstairs has a railing - all children need to be accompanied and watched closely.

The Neighborhood:
Yosemite National Park
A few houses are around but very quiet and serene. You barely know there is anyone around.

Getting Around:
Far from public transportation

Other Things to Note:
There is lots of rocks and gravel around the cabin and in the walkways. Please be aware of this and make sure you walk sure footed. Especially noted for the elderly.

The cabin has heating from Wood Stove and Fireplace. Split units have been added to the cabin for heat and AC.

Please look at directions provided. The GPS takes you a different way that is more difficult.

We are not stating that 10 people occupancy is the best - it is a cabin with a loft so 10 people is a lot but some groups choose to want to stay like this. There is room for 10 people to sleep without question but this is your choice. There is only 5 beds - please note this and please do not mark us down if you choose to bring this many people to the cabin. We have tried to be extremely clear in our descriptions and should you have any questions - please do so before booking. Depending on the group you are bringing the coziness of the cabin can be a good thing or a challenging one. Please observe our forth rightness about the number of people.

**We are on a septic, do not put food down any of the drains Nor Oils or grease. Put only toilet paper down the toilets please.

**We are also on our own well, neither services are connected to any local utilities. The septic and well is our own personal responsibility and how the cabin/bathroom/kitchen are treated, greatly affect these. Please be aware and act accordingly.

**Due to Covid and our cleaning protocols, we plan for bedding and towels for the number of guests you have noted for the reservation. We will not be leaving extras out. If you need more we are happy to provide upon request.

Interaction with Guests:
We enjoy meeting new people and usually are friends by the time you leave. It's fun for us to share Angel's Rest with you because we believe it to be such a special and wonderful place. Peaceful and Beautiful.
During your stay at this cabin, you'll be within walking distance of Sierra National Forest. The cabin offers a kitchen and a fireplace.

Loved this spot
Perfect for a weekend getaway with 3 adults and our 3 dogs. Location was great, so close to the south entrance into Yosemite as well as near bass lake and the little town. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, would love to stay here again!

Everything you need
There's nothing but good things to say about the place and the stay. Stacy communicated within minutes and the experience was exactly what we had expected, better actually. Often we stay in a place where there's 1 towel, a counted number of toiler paper rolls, and we had to go into town to but salt. Stacy's place is filled with attention to details, you don't have to worry about a thing. A couple of notes to future guests, google maps will direct you to the location through a dirt road way. Stacy showed us the correct entrance. The place has an open layout, with suit us fine. We liked the rustic nature of the place, and the fireplace was great to gather around. We took our small dogs so we went for the full experience. I recommend it!

Fantastic cabin escape
From the moment we arrived it was perfect. The host, Stacy, is extremly friendly and helpful. She was very thorough in her descriptions and explanations. The listing of the cabin explains everything you can expect. The location was perfect and very peaceful. The mornings watching the sunrise were great and the evening under the stars were magic. Inside, this is truly a rustic cabin feel. Its feels lived in and not just a "set up" location. Be sure to read and understand the description of what the sleeping arangements are like before arriving or booking. It was perfect for us, but as mentioned in the description, with many people it couls be tight. The location was perfect to town as well as the park. Couldnt have had a better place!

Overall great but take heed of loft sleeping situation
Stacy was very communicative and patient with us as we had a little snaffu with our booking and VRBO. The cabin was overall very charming and a great space for our family to enjoy. We loved the proxomity to Bass Lake and Yosemite. Also Oakhurst was a cute smal town. The only downfall to the cabin, which is no fault to the host, is the loft bedrooms. The stairs are truly ladder style with their narrowness and steepness. Also the ceilings are very low at the top of the stairs and with my husband and I being disabled Veterans, our joints and bodies are feeling the effects from climbing them up and down. Not to mention the many times of bumping our heads and shoulders on the ceilings. That is the ONLY reason we would not stay there again because everything else was AMAZING!

Love the cabin its very cozy the cabin has great outside views several games to play my family really enjoy staying there. But i dont recommend for older people to stay there all beds are upstairs. I always travel with a blow up matress bed that we just laid out in the front room and it worked out great

Wouldn’t change a thing…I’ll be back again and again bada bing! Comfey cozy with lots of room indoors and out, and old world charm. Games galore great place for family ,very close to Yosemite and most any shop you should need. Just love it!

First visit to Yosemite
This was our 1st visit to Oakhurst and Yosemite and Angel's Rest was just the perfect place for us! We absolutely loved the house and the grounds. The house was clean, inviting and big enough for us to spread out. Our teenage boys loved the twin bed loft area. We opted for the loft furthest away from the boys! Stacy was very accurate in her description of the bedrooms as you need to climb steep stairs. I would use caution for smaller children. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and Stacy gave us some of us farm fresh eggs-yum! All areas of the house were clean and we had an ample amount of towels for the bathroom. It was so relaxing to sit on the patio in the early morning and at night once it cooled off. For bird lovers, there is a huge variety of birds that frequent the area. We loved watching the California quails and their chicks. Stacy was always available via text or email if need be. We would welcome a chance to stay at Angel’s Rest again. Thank you!

Angel's Rest Rocks!
Wonderful cabin setting. All the nice wood and river rock and decorations was pleasing to the eyes. Good place to do whatever. You can just relax, grill, bake, read a book, play games, or do Karaoke. We did all that and more. Excellent place to spend quality time with a group of friends. Lots to do in the area, including Yosemite, Bass Lake, and Oakhurst. We had 5 adult friends in our group and it was more than enough room.

Extremely dirty
It is unfortunate that I cannot attach the pictures I took, this property is EXTREMELY DIRTY. The mattress was covered in blood, the spider wed is everywhere. the house is not stacked at all, i mean she didn't even have salt and pepper. I could leave without the salt and pepper but the bloody mattrass was too much for us. Very disappointed.

Our family was thoroughly impressed by Angel’s Rest. We used the cabin as home base for exploring Yosemite, and it was the perfect location. Lots of privacy, charm, and comfort. The home was very clean. The hosts had great communication, and we felt welcomed. Being nature people, we were happy to see a variety of birds each morning. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our family of 4 from WI loved this place and wished we could have stayed there longer. We were day tripping it up to Yosemite each day that we were there, which this cabin was in good position for. About 20 minutes from the south gate and less than 10 minutes from Oakhurst to get groceries/dinner. Lots of space in the cabin, but as the host states, the steps to get to the beds on the upper portion of the unit are very steep but fine for our family to get up each night. Hosts were very responsive and we loved our stay!

Really nice place to stay, we enjoyed time with family here. Lots of games for kids 😍 But if you need privacy you probably need different cabin. Loft space for sleep, no doors… we was okay with it. We loved the cabin, the only issues we had was with the room situation. The add advertised 4 rooms and it only had 3 rooms, with 2 queen beds and 3 twin. The grill was also disgusting, we had to clean it. Other than that we loved our stay at the cabin.
