This property was our first for a reason. The century old farmhouse that has been completely revitalized with an entire new HVAC system, sitting on over 50 acres with a 5-acre 22' deep spring fed lake that has is stocked with walleye, trout and perch (best eating freshwater fish) along with trophy bass. For bird watchers we have an eagle nest on the property (you must stay 100 yards away).

**Please note: There are property improvements happening with nearby new barn construction that is anticipated to be completed Summer 2025. Due to this there are construction vehicles that will be using the same driveway area. Rest assured, the property and amenities listed are private to the guests.
Welcome to this charming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom, 2-story farmhouse, lovingly restored to its original beauty with modern amenities including updated appliances, HVAC, and more. Situated on 53 private acres, the property features expansive farmland and a serene five-acre, spring-fed lake teeming with trout and walleye, just 200 feet from the house. Enjoy lake activities with a boat slip at your disposal! 2 kayaks and a john boat are available by request only! There is also a pontoon boat available by request only and the driver MUST be 16 or older with avalid license and life jackets must be worn.
Accommodations include a king bed, queen bed, and a pull-out couch, comfortably sleeping 6 guests. Clothing storage options include a closet and dresser. The full-size bathroom features a bathtub for your comfort.
The well-equipped kitchen boasts modern appliances such as a blender, drip coffee maker, espresso machine, Keurig, Nespresso machine, refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, microwave, oven, and toaster. Outside, a gas grill and utensils await for a perfect BBQ.
Relax with a selection of books and reading material, enjoy central A/C and heating, a backup generator, full cable TV, ethernet connection, Wi-Fi, and an indoor fireplace.
The home has a full flight of stairs at the entrance and a sloped hill leading to the lake. Pets are welcome, with a limit of one pet.
For outdoor enthusiasts, an eagles' nest graces the front yard. Explore hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, with over 120 miles of trails minutes away. The historic town of Canal Fulton, offering kayaking and canoeing, is nearby. Amish country is a short 20-minute drive south, perfect for finding quilts, homemade candles, and cheese throughout Holmes County.
Our property has high speed internet wi-fi, Cable TV and good cell service. Once you research the area, you will see all the outdoor activities available within minutes from your doorstep. Canoeing, kayaking, trails, bird watching, Clays Water park, world class target ranges, and Amish country is just 20 minutes South. (Please drive safely due to Amish buggies). Sports Fans of all ages will enjoy Sluggers & Putters, which is also just minutes away in the Quaint town of Canal Fulton. The Canal Fulton Canoe Livery has canoes and kayaks available for rent and will pick you up later at multiple locations downstream. Stop at Clay's Park (Jellystone Water Park Resort), where you can find an Aqua Park that has water slides, swimming and splash grounds, gem mining and more.

Johnson Woods: Johnson Woods remains Ohio's best remaining Old Forest in Ohio and is only five minutes from your location! Many of the trees are over 400 years old and over 120 feet tall; these trees grow 50 feet before the first limbs begin to occur. With a boardwalk to view the forest, it is a fun walk for the whole family, no matter what the weather is.
Trails: Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath has over 90 miles of trails running north to South and follows parts of the original route of the canal; in the mid 1800’s mules could be seen pulling the canal boats on this historic trail. Walk, jog, bike or horseback ride this beautiful route from the past.
The Great American Rail-Trail: Living up to its name, this trail runs from Washington DC to Seattle. The 3700 mile trail is mostly gravel and has some of the greatest scenery in the Midwest.
Ohio to Erie Trail: It is a dedicated multi-use trail like the others crossing from Ohio SW farm country to the NE part of the state. Crossing through many other trails, regional parks and nature preserves, including rural woodland, makes this trail a local favorite.
Sippo Valley Trail: Another trail through the hills and farmland of Ohio. This trail connects to many of the other trails and has a Trail Head within minutes of our properties.
Lyons Den Golf Course is ten minutes south and features 18 holes such as the barn hole, cemetery ridge and Devils Gulch.
Amish Country: A short 20 minute drive south and you can go back in time 150 years. Explore the area and you’re sure to find great places to shop for gifts you won't find anywhere else; whether it is a local world class furniture craftsman, the Amish flea market, Lehman hardware and more.

We offer a complimentary starter kit of necessary amenities which is generally enough for shorter stays but after that is used up, it is the responsibility of the guest to provide the rest for themselves.
