This charming barn conversion with a lovely combination of stone and brickwork, has recently been fully refurbished. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of daily life in the picturesque village of Lamesley Pastures, situated on the outskirts of the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The best of both worlds with ease of access to stunning countryside and also only a mile from the A1. Sleeping four this luxurious barn is an excellent choice for couples or families seeking a peaceful retreat.

Dogs are welcome but they must not be allowed on the sofas or on beds. There is also a strict dogs on leads policy at all times outside even in the properties large garden area . The garden is not enclosed and is more like a village green. There are other dogs around and horses, wildlife so we must insist they are kept on leads at all times.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be within walking distance of Angel of the North. The vacation home offers free WiFi and a kitchen.

Perfect Accommodation
There is nothing negative to say about this property. It’s clean. Comfortable and has everything you need. A real home from home stay. We especially enjoyed the tasty bottle of Prosecco. So thank you. There is a couple of Supermarkets and great pub nearby (less than 5 minutes drive) and an easy drive into Newcastle etc. My only suggestion would be to have a pint of milk in the fridge for a cuppa on arrival!! Otherwise absolutely perfect

Weekend break
Lovely place. The pictures don’t quite do credit to how light and roomy it is inside. The fit out is very good, well stocked kitchen and the bedding and linen is good quality and comfortable. It’s right on the edge of the city with open countryside behind. Steven was very flexible about checkin (I arrived late at night) and made us very welcome.

Staying to see family in Newcastle for Christmas
We had a lovely stay at the old barn in lamesley , it was so welcoming when we arrived there was a bottle of bubble waiting for us which was such a nice touch , there was everything we needed there and a lovely Christmas tree which made it so special when our grandchildren came to see us

Perfect for what we needed
We were after a ‘home from home’ place to stay whilst our children attended a ski race camp in Sunderland. This place was perfect for what we needed. Nice owners, lovely garden and great local pub.

The Old Barn Lamesley
Just back from 3 nights in Lamesley. I cannot praise this accommodation highly enough. The house was stunning and spotlessly clean. It was really well equipped with high spec. and the location was perfect. We were fortunate with the weather and the huge garden was lovely to spend the evening in after a busy day. I would definitely return.

The old barn
This was a lovely barn conversion overlooking countryside yet a stones throw from Newcastle city centre. Beaches 30 mins drive away. Own garden area too. Very well decorated and everything you need for a home from home break. Steven and Laura where lovely and nothing was a problem for them if you did need any help. Great stay would most certainly return.

Christmas at The Old Barn
Perfect. All Pros, no Cons. Has everything needed for a great stay plus more. The Property Managers, Steven and Laura, were fabulous. We arrived Dec. 19 and they had a beautifully decorated full size tree up and a lovely garland on the mantle. We would give this property a 10 star rating if possible. If you need a very nice place to stay in the Gateshead area; we highly recommend it. The location is private but close to the major highways so it's easy to get around. There is a Sainsbury's close by that will have everything you need. The lounge and dining area quite large, and the kitchen and baths are spacious and well equipped. Please consider The Old Barn if looking for a rental in the Gateshead / Newcastle area.

Luxus mitten in der Natur
The Old Barn ist eine Unterkunft, die sehr liebevoll hergerichtet wurde. Steven und Laura lassen keinen Wunsch unerfüllt. Das Objekt befindet sich zwischen mehreren kleinen Häusern. Nicht nur die Vermieter sind immer hilfsbereit, auch die Nachbarn sind freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr herzlich. Man fühlt sich hier gut aufgenommen. The Old Barn liegt nicht weit von Newcastle entfernt und der Supermarkt ist gleich um die Ecke. Mitten in der Natur und doch zentral gelegen. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen und werden sicherlich nicht zum letzten Mal dort gewesen sein. Bettina und Marion
