Not sure they react to what's booked with Expedia etc but after hiccup. It was alright and breakfast is free. Free tea and Internet. Beds were good enough and showers were good. Next to by byker station also, the area ain't up market but the hostel is cheap and serves a purpose,
They cancelling room which should have been with 4 beds and said it was cancelled by Hotels.com told us we had to pay again until I called hotels.com they then said if my tickets is still valid then they will give us a room with 3 beds, bare in mind I already paid for a 4 bed. I had no choice but to take it we needed somewhere to sleep. We were given Room 1 the room was the smallest room I e ever seen box room squeezing in a bunk bed and a single and a chair no space for us to get ready to go out. The bedsheets smelt like sweat the pillow case had bogies on it, the light switch was outside the room and the water was cold no hot water. When I went to or tried to sleep I could not because the floors boards around the Hostel were so load and I could hear what people were say doing even using the toilet I could hear. My door could not close from the inside because the lock was broken, so I could not sleep as everytime I heard footsteps I thought it was someone coming to my unlocked room to take our stuff. I had the worst birthday night out I could not settle. I had to drive 2 hours back home the next day on No sleep. Luckily I was not feeling tired, I was still raging.
Perfectly adequate for the money. includes continental breakfast, clean linen, and nice and warm. fixtures are basic but pleasent. Right opposite a whertherspoons pub, and on a bus route straight into Newcastle
It is what it says it is! A budget hostel where you can get your head down and take a shower... I stayed with my 4 kids and small dog on a Sunday night enroute to the airport, good sized room, clean bedding and only £29...I would recommend you take your own bottled water as the only tap is in the shared bathroom..
Very satisfied. Got What I Paid for. The bathrooms was not Clean And it was uncomftarble with a shared shower area between both sexes. But perfect for a short cheap stay close to The city
Dirty bathroom. Awoken at 4:15 am when manager was loudly ordering guests to leave the premises. Kitchen and common room squashed into a tiny room with a kettle and a microwave. Couldn't shut the window so all night heard people screaming and yelling in the street.
Very friendly staff at reception, very clean room and excellent value. I slept well and it was a quiet week night. Family was tired after day of travel and slept well.
