The Space:
A Rural escape on 9 acres so close to Newcastle!
Our Converted Barn is your country home away from home. Perfect for large family and friends groups with room to spread out and relax.
Blue Wren Barn is set up with comfort and relaxation in mind. We have decked it out with an eclectic mix of new, found objects, upcycled and homey touches.
A place filled with happiness and just a dash of modern life (Wifi & Foxtel).
Huge cooks delight kitchen for meal preparation.
BBQ and back patio for outdoor entertaining and watching the outstanding sunsets.
The Barn is child and pet friendly. A swing set and a securely fenced yard so you can relax while the kids play outdoors. Take a plunge in our gorgeous swim spa. Warm in Winter, cool in Summer.
All Towels and linen supplied. (With the exception of beach towels)

How The Barn is laid out-
3 x Queen Bedrooms upstairs.
With bathroom, lounge area and air conditioning.
(Fold out bed and additional lounges are available upstairs)
1 x king bedroom downstairs
The large “family” bedroom which sleeps 6 - 1x single bed, 1 x Queen bed, and a single over double bunk.
Southern room which has 1 x double bed and 2x single beds.
An additional double fold out sofa beds in the secondary lounge areas mean we can comfortably sleep 20 guests.
The property boasts a large dam and sweeping northwest views. With no near neighbours to the north you can feel a world away from the hustle and bustle, yet be at Newcastle airport in 5 minutes.
Perfect central spot for access to Beaches, Newcastle, port Stephens or the Hunter.
If Travelling with horses they are welcome but please give us notice as we need to make arrangements with our neighbours -they regularly have their horse in our paddocks.
Some things to note :
The Barn is an actual converted barn, not a house and as such there are a few squeaky doors and rustic details which we think adds to its charm.
You must agree to our Quiet hours 10.30pm-7.30am. And be respectful of our neighbours.
No parties.
No dogs are to be in the bedrooms or carpeted areas at any time.
No Swimming in the Dam due to submerged hazards.
No Car access to the rear of the property, foot traffic or horse only.
Please be aware of the possibility of Snakes on the property.
Due to the proximity of the airport we do occasionally get aircraft noise during daylight hours.
Blue Wren Barn is fully screened however we recommend bringing personal insect repellent for outdoor activities, especially in summer.
Guests can access most areas (with the exception of the locked signed “private” areas)
We can offer longer stays for large families relocating to the area.

Guest Access:
As our guest, you are welcome to roam freely by foot on the property!
You must supervise any children and animals at all times, especially around the dam, and waterways and when using the open fire pit.
Check in from 3pm* early check in by request and subject to availability.
Check out 10am.

The Neighborhood:
Rural bliss, close to town. Perfect for families or bridal parties attending Stanley Park wedding venue (3 min drive).
55 minutes drive to the Hunter Valley and it’s award winning wines and tourism.
35 minutes drive to Nelson’s Bay with whale watching, spectacular beaches and walks. Cuddle up with koalas kangaroos and see the animals at Oakvale farm and fauna world. 4x4 access to Stockton sand dunes is 5 mins away.
On the farm in the evening We recommend doing a bit of star gazing as they are spectacular here!
You will receive a little welcome folder on check in which will detail the area further.
Stockton is the closest Township with 3 pubs, an IGA and take aways. 10 mins from the Barn. A Ferry runs regularly to Newcastle CBD and parking is free.
McDonald’s and Service station are 5 mins away at Williamtown.

Getting Around:
Best if travelling by car. Room for caravan/or camper van or horse float. Local Bus is available from the end of the lane approximately one Km walk. Close to Stockton sand dunes 4x4 access.
Uber, taxi from Airport approx 5mins.

Other Things to Note:
Please note we are on septic tanks and follow signs in this regard.
The property has a large dam filled with bird life and fish.
This is a natural rural property and as such, can from time to time have a variety of animal species. Blue tongue lizards, bandicoots and green tree frogs are common. Snakes are rare but can be in long grass and near the dam. Please be aware and supervise animals and children.
You are welcome to pick and eat from the gardens, we grow chemical free.

Interaction with Guests:
We will be offsite, but for urgent requests our neighbours are available. We are a phone call away for additional requirements.
During your stay at this apartment building, you're just a quick walk from Hunter Wetlands Centre. Enjoy features like a spa tub. The apartment includes amenities such as a kitchen and 3 bathrooms.

Great weekend away
This place is perfect for groups of families and/or friends - it has all of the things you need for a group of 15-20, including a great kitchen / dining setup, lots of communal space, indoor and outdoor areas, etc. We lovoed the hot tub and the hamper on arrival was great. Would definitely stay again.
