This single-level home, featuring a fenced in yard with outdoor dining set, outdoor shower, gas grill, and renovated kitchen, makes for the perfect family island getaway.

Cleaning: Our cleaners are taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations (doorknobs, surfaces, light switches, remote controls, tables, fan and lamp chains, thermostats etc).

Important: Beach chairs and beach towels are not provided. We have a Ring Doorbell Camera on the exterior of our property facing the outside of our entrance. This is not monitored but does record. We also have a Minut noise monitor system located inside the property in the kitchen/living room. This is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, it does not record sound, but allows us to respond to noise nuisances in a timely manner to ensure all neighbors are being respected. Minute is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property. These are to keep all guests safe and to keep the property secure. Thanks for understanding!

Plum Island is a traditional coastal New England vacation destination, close to downtown Newburyport’s historic architecture, boutique shopping, upscale and family friendly dining and pubs.

Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. Our property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. We care a lot about maintaining good relationships with our community, so we appreciate you following our "house rules" during your stay.

Please do not walk on the grass area behind the outdoor shower unless cleaning up after a dog. It's beach grass and won't survive a lot of traffic.

There is no access to the loft areas and no one is allowed on the actual roof of the property. Any witnessed attempt will result in the immediate cancellation of the reservation. Roof deck can be used by guests.

We are committed to Rent Responsibly standards. This means we follow best-in-class guidelines to ensure you have a peaceful, safe, and memorable stay with us. We use smart home technology to improve your experience. Minut is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Minut is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property. We also have a Ring Doorbell Camera on the exterior of our property facing the outside of our entrance. Check-out late fees are as follows:
30 minutes late = $50
2 hours late check out = daily base rate + any fees associated with disturbance of next quests' stay.

Unauthorized guests or smoking = $500
Noise complaints = $500
Tampering with technology (Ring camera, locks, noise monitor) or smoke alarms = $500

FYI - For guests bringing dogs, please clean up after them. We will be requesting additional payment for any extra clean up from your pet. (The pet fee only covers additional cleaning to make sure to get all pet fur by double washing all linens, wear and tear on flooring/carpets and furniture). Also, please know that there are small openings in the fence where small dogs may be able to slip out. We kindly ask that you keep a close eye on your furry friends and ensure they do not escape through these areas. (Cats are not allowed)

NOTE: The tank for hot water is not a huge tank - so if hot water run for a while, it would run out and then take time to reheat. Please be aware of this when planning your showers. We're sorry for any inconvenience it may cause.

Terrific Beach Bungalow
We loved it here! The location was perfect and nice and quiet during October. You can see the stars from the rooftop deck! Manamgement was highly responsive to all communication. The appliances worked great with the exception of the dryer. The wifi password on the refrigerator was not entirely accurate and the toilet paper holder needed a repair. These are minor fixables that shouldn't deter you from staying here.

Wonderful retreat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was as described, had everything we needed, and gave us plenty of room inside and out. The location was great -- close enough to both the beach and downtown areas. The host was responsive and approachable. Would not hesitate to rent this house again.

Great location, below par condition
Property is in a good location but it's a bit old, scruffy and musty. The VRBO photos paint a very positive view of the place. The kitchen is new but the rest of the property could do with a significant renovation. We were looking forward to spending time on the roof deck but it's a mess up there with broken railings and chewed up cushions. There were other issues like the clothes dryer not working, no venting/fan in the shower etc In the end we made the most of it and enjoyed our stay but would much rather have chosen another property.

Lovely Plum Island
Absolutely adorable house on Plum Island! East walk to cute bars/restaurants on the island and an easy drive into beautiful Newburyport. The house was clean and nicely decorated with an amazing kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of towels and other amenities. The picture of the view is completely accurate - it is stunning. Super communication-always knew where to park, lock code, garbage, etc. Just perfect for a summer weekend.

Loved Basin Haven!
This property is a great location for visiting the lovely are of Newburyport, Ma. The property is dog friendly which was great. The property itself was just lovely. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Very clean and spacious with 2 bedrooms and very nice size kitchen and living space. Property manager was easy to contact and very accommodating with our request to book one more night. Definitely would stay there again. thank you Dorothy

Recharging on Plum Island
I needed one more time at the beach before fall set in. This property was excellent and had everything we needed right at hand. Everything was very clean and attractively decorated. We had our two small dogs with us, the backyard was fenced in which was a plus for us. We had one day of sun and we were able to spend sometime on the rooftop deck. Amazing! Delicious seafood nearby and a walkable beach. Hope to be backin the spring!
