My stay at Courtyard Marriott West Orange
The stay was excellent. I got the room at the last minute and was so happy because it was booked. I wanted to be close to South Orange because we visiting family. It very so comfortable and accommodating. The hotel was clean and I loved the area for breakfast. Just a little something to start your day. Didn’t have to go outside to look for food. We definitely will be back next year.

I was surprised to find that there would be no complimentary breakfast. there were items to buy but none of the items listed on the menu board were available because of staffing. The hostess was good enough to quickly fry up some scrambled eggs. Also surprised to see that there was no complimentary coffee bar. lastly, while booking my stay I was asked if I would like to apply for the Marriot Credit Card which came with a $300 gift card when approved. I was approved immediately but it took multiple phone calls to get the gift card. As it turned out the fine print for the gift card did not cover any of the cost of the hotel bill. I will cancel the credit card and avoid a Marriot like the plague.

The staff was friendly upon arriving which helped ease anxiety from traveling. Our room was perfect with the exception of a very loud heater/AC fan. A staff member came to our room quickly to access and moved us to a different room; also gave us a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience and essentially having to downgrade the room options we paid for. Over all it was a quiet, clean space and the staff's positive attitude helped us feel comfortable. We will stay here again the next time we are in the area. Thank you.
