Our stay was amazing, staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were there during a United Nation Conference so the police presence was strong, a bit alarming at first because we didn’t know if a major crime had been committed so the interference of streets cut off made it difficult to get to our hotel but other than that it was a great experience.

Great location, close to Grand Central Station. Hotel staff very helpful, but not overbearing. Room clean and spacious. Housekeeping service great. Had to request water every day at reception, which was given freely, but would be nice if it had been left in the room. Good amenities in the room, but a few more coffee pods would have been appreciated. Overall we had a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Westgate. Hotel was in the perfect location, great distance to LaGuardia and short walk to subway (5 mins) which takes you anywhere in the city. Lots of dining options around. Room size was good for our family of 4, was nice to have a king bed. Will be back!

Fairly convenient location with large rooms by NYC standards. Staff is not particularly friendly, but again, sort of what one expects in Manhattan. Our room had some sort of drip inside the wall (heard but not seen) and the AC unit made an odd bang every 20 minutes or so. Room was clean. The in room coffee maker was a bit janky, and no coffee service available downstairs until 7:30, but we made do. The last day for some reason, it took about 20 minutes to get truly hot water to the shower. We were up early for a flight so maybe that had something to do with it? Not sure. All in all, about what we expected for the price and in terms of value for dollars spent, I'd consider it again sometime.

Excellent hotel overall. The staff was always very friendly and attentive, beds were comfy, rooms were clean. Neighbors were noisy and walls are not so sound proof, sounded like they were slamming doors throughout the night. We heard construction going on but New York itself is very noisy, so it didn’t bother us too much. We felt safe in that area and its walkable distance to eateries and convenient stores. We would stay again
