This lovely Art Deco hotel is well-situated for a New York City stay and offers a very comfortable bed and friendly service! There is a very nice restaurant attached. I recommend breakfasting there on the weekends!

Weekend in the West Village

The property was outdated. The bed and pillows were hard and there was a loud thumping noise outside that kept us up at night. The area outside the hotel was a little sketchy as well.

Comfortable one night stay
The room and bed were very comfortable. Great location. Easy check in and friendly doorman. Overall very good stay for 1 night. Unrelated to the hotel, I was a little surprised to see the amount of homeless, mentally ill and crackheads within a half block of the entrance. I used to live and work in NYC.

What a perfect spot to stay in NYC. Our room was charming, with 1930s details and perfectly modern functionality (great shower, too). The staff was friendly and helpful. With the subway just a block away and the park across the street, we could have happily spent much more time here and will be back next time we visit.

Great Hotel with good atmosphere. My room was large and I felt comfortable and safe in the Hotel. They allowed my to use the lounge for a meeting so I am grateful for the support. They also kept my luggage safe when I was out. I enjoyed my stay. Negatives: 1. The night before I left the security guard said that check out was at 10am "for me" and that I had to be on time. Check out was actually at 11:30am and I was later told that security guard was aware of check out times which made his statement come across as a mockery. 2. The area (the village) is iconic but of course very urban with people with mental health located right outside the hotel, screaming. It was sad to see people suffering in this way but not the Hotel's fault.
