We stayed for 5 nights during the first week of December. Arrived around 11 AM and they already had a room available for us and even upgraded us to a higher floor. We were so impressed the the customer service. We enjoyed the lobby that had unlimited hot coffee and hot water with tea or hot chocolate packs, so you can stay warm throughout the day. One day they even served hot chocolate and cookies.
Alot of people complained about the elevator being slow. We were on the 20th floor and it was fine. It was busy but we often had an elevator within a minute or two. There were 4 available elevators, so it really wasn't bad. Quite quick actually
The room was about the size of a cruise ship cabin. This is normal for NYC standards. The bathroom was basic with limited products available, but there was large bottles of nice shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The slidable door was fine. We didn't mind it. I know some people complained about this. The Kitchenette is small, but handy if you need to have a fridge and microwave.
The only downside to our experience is that the walls and windows are very thin. New Yorkers honk alot. We were also by the elevator so we could hear slamming doors and street noise. Otherwise, I'd recommend bringing headphones or ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The bed is comfortable though. Nice and clean. No bedbugs as some had mentioned.in previous comments. It was well cleaned before we came in.
Finally, awesome location near 28th station & Penn.
