This is exactly what I needed in New York, a clean bed in a nice room with good communcal spaces for working. The only downside was the bathroom because I was on the shared floor and female bathrooms were on another floor so it was a bit of a pain but honestly solid value for money in New York and a really nice alternative to a regular hostel.
Can't beat the location. Best value for such a central spot. Was a bit of noise off the street, to be expected. Common areas were beautifully decorated! My biggest complaint was the snoring at night travelled really badly through the floor to other rooms! They did the best they could by providing ear plugs and masks for the light. The only thing I would suggest is put few more hooks / another shelf in the room bcs they are so small it would've been easier to spread some of my stuff out a bit. Lamp in my room was barely hanging onto the wall, seems people were probably using it as a hanger.
Otherwise I couldn't have asked for a better hostel stay! Highly recommend!
It’s small but good for just a place to sleep and shower. It can be noisy but not too bad

Perfect for single traveler. (If you are shorter than 6 feet. because bed size is small)
Ear plug is needed for sleep.
Room ceiling is opened. So you can hear all noise and sounds around your room.
But unbeatable price. I love this hotel.
This building is really cool but was disappointed with how small the room is. I’m 6’1 And can’t fully extend. Thankfully I’m barely in the room so the size wasn’t an issue til I extended. The main problem is the floor is cement and noise travels which wouldn’t be an issue if the ceilings weren’t holes. There is no ceiling so you can hear everything, snowing travels across the hole floor. That also means light come in because all the lights are never off. Something is also beeping every 10 seconds twice. I have no idea what it is. The last bad part is the pillow is super super thin. Now, I realize 90$ isn’t a lot to stay somewhere but this place needs to do better. I will not stay here again. However, staff is cool and the rooms are clean. Showers and sinks could be a little cleaner but overall fine.
I always had a bad idea/ concepts of a hostel...but this one is different...the pod has its own door...lots of bathroom, including a private one on 4th floor...and out of my whole trip in new york, they had the best customer service...
It’s pretty good especially for the price but every room is next to each other so you hear everything everyone does and the area outside seems secluded no Starbucks or McDonald’s near but the train takes you into manhattan so it’s not a bad location.
