If you are expecting luxury, this is not the place (unless if maybe you stay in some gold rooms at higher price). If you just need a place to sleep in a reasonably quiet (NYC standard) place and shower, this hotel if just fine. I did not use in window air conditioner so don't know how loud it is. Otherwise, it was quiet at night with the exception of some emergency vehicles 3x night - this is not avoidable in NYC though from my experience.

It was very old and not clean. The back of the toilet where the seat is screwed on was dirty. No bath towels in the bathroom only two wash clothes and a hand towel. And two of them had a hair in it.

The person who checked me in was delightful. The room was clean and very nice and the housekeeping staff very responsive. Room was obviously updated with new bathroom fixtures and bedroom lighting. If you expect perfection though it might not be hotel for you. Shower takes about five minutes to get warm water. Bottom of bathroom door flaking, little sign of wear and tear throughout room. Dust above bathroom door frame. TV difficult to figure out and doesn’t stay on channel. The charm, cleanliness overrode these issues for me, but may not for others. In room fridge but would have appreciated a microwave and a safe, which I thought was included.

Beds were Ok. There is a $15 per day fee for water and snacks that we never got. Wouldn't recommend the room coffee pods, bring your own coffee and small filter. No dresser or place for clothing. There is a good size closet. Comforter weas lumpy and not effective for warmth.

Nice staff. Terrible room.
For the price of the room, it was in poor condition. Walls had holes in them, wallpaper was coming off the wall, the rugs were filthy, looked like the bathroom was broken into and never fixed. The tub was chipped and the ceiling had mold. I can go on and on. This was brought to the front desk attention and they asked if I wanted the "engineer" to go to the room. I said no, that the entire room needs to be remodeled. I didn't feel safe as the room door had major gaps too so we placed a chair in front of the door. Glad we only had to stay one night. We got up early and hurried out.

Very nice and kind staff, good location but of all the properties I have stayed at this year, (quite a few) this was on the expensive side and the most run down. The bed was comfortable and the room size was decent but carpet needs to be replaced, walls need to be painted or wall paper needed to be scraped, furniture updated, plumbing replaced. But, as one would say, 'Welcome to New York'....

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Bell hop in the lobby staring at his phone. Constant scenes at the front desk with customers arguing with the manager over the terms and conditions of their stay and expressing their displeasure. Room was very subpar. Hallways and lobby area not well kept. Not even 2 star quality.

spacious and for the most part clean and and freshly painted room and bathroom. (with brightly lit halls). Bedroom closet carpet was dirty and appeared unvacuumed. Saw two very tiny bugs in bathroom which I easily killed. The advertised "snacks " in room consisted of one granola bar per person. Pretty skimpy!
