Well I went to check in and was told that they were already booked after I received confirmation of my stay and plus the neighborhood looked pretty bad and the staff was very rude

Colleague called the day before to inform them of my late check in time and was told that would not be a problem. When I arrived they claimed that they had no rooms left due to construction and blamed Expedia for not telling me days ago that they were under renovations and had a shortage of rooms for 2-3 weeks and that my reservation wasn't confirmed. At least that is what the front desk clerk was told to tell people. Funny how no mention of that was made during the call a day earlier. Expedia was not able to get me checked into a room at a different hotel until 6am. It looked like another guest decided to sleep in a chair in the lobby.

Better cleaning of the room the sink was a bit dirty. And the room was a bit cold so I got the blanket out of the closet and it looked so old and raggedy I did not want it near my skin.

An Interesting but Restful Stay
The room was clean, quiet. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Pillows were perfect. The front desk was very friendly. Downside is when I walked into the room, it was a little warm so I went to change the settings on the AC but it was at its lowest setting, 53degrees. You would think the room would be freezing but again, it was quite warm. Hence, the hallway outside of the room was much cooler, I would just assume sleep in the hallway. I missed breakfast so I cant tell you much about that. I utilized Lyft while I was there. I wouldn't recommend walking around the area, however, it's an 8 minute walk to the Sutter Street subway station. I guess the price was more attractive than the room. The only downside is that the room I stayed in had not only a King-size bed which I was suppose to get two beds but ended up getting a bed and an old beat-up sofa bed. They need to REPLACE IT!!! Strangely enough, I dont mind staying there again. Btw, that's the best sleep I've had in a long while!

Never again...thanks but no thanks
First off i booked the room because it said it had four bed one king, one queen and 2 doubles when we got there it was one king and a pull out bed. Then when I want downstairs to ask about it they stated that they get this problem alot which is really misleading then we had to pay extra money to park in the parking lot. Also out a/c didnt work we requested for another room in which they stated they had none. Which was false information never staying here again!!!!

Fitness Center is a total disaster and not as pictured. They are using the fitness center as a storage closet. It is filled with old furniture and broken equipment. Holes in ceiling, dust and debris all over the place. Dirty furniture blocking use of equipment. Do not expect to be able to workout at this hotel. This directly impacted my health and comfort during the trip. Anthony E. at the front desk refused to offer any kind of discount or to even offer a partial refund for the issue.

Very poorly managed hotel
I booked a room for two nights as it's quite near my daughter's apartment, and it had good ratings. After a long travel day, I arrived at 6:30 to discover no one on duty. I waited ten minutes and called the front desk--the phone in front of me rang--and knocked on the office door. Nothing. I finally googled the national La Quinta number and called them. They were apologetic but only called the front desk, where I was. After twenty minutes, a manager finally arrived. She was rude and listening to something on a headset. I was gone all of the next day and returned that night to find that the room had never been cleaned. The AC gave off a strange smell, so I just turned it off and opened the window. There was also garbage strewn across the front steps down into the lobby. It will be my last visit to that particular hotel.
