My family is still traumatised by the fact that we had an intruder at 2am into our room...i am returning to NY but though i love Jamaica Ave I am staying in the city this time. The hotel is old, smelly and the staff has an excuse for everything that goes wrong. I think this motel is used to house homeless people. Do not stay here for your sanity. The lobby is noisy from 1am to 4am...cannot sleep
I booked this hotel in November 2016 for my August 2017 trip. Breakfast and hotel shuttle services were offered at the time so I reserved a room. I called the day before to confirm the hotel shuttle and was told that this hotel (MOTEL) does not have a shuttle. I paid a cad to and from JFK. The breakfast offered was a pack of dry Quaker Oats so we made use of the Wendy's at the next block. The safety lock on the door didn't work so at 2 am one night someone entered my room. The sofa was broken and the chair was falling apart. I was relocated next morning to a room next door that smell horribly. All in all this is not a place for a family....maybe if you are connecting and need a place to get a short nap.
It WAS near the JFK airport but the listed free shuttle had been discontinued earlier that month. They did accommodate us and give us the free shuttle, though. However, there were several things wrong with the room itself. No smoke detector, toilet paper holder missing (there was toilet paper resting on the bathtub), heat did not work properly. And to top it off, we were visited by a mouse during the night, which got into my backpack which was on a chair and ate my snacks as well as chewed part of a paper label from my yarn. NOT A HAPPY PERSON!

Convenient location
The hotel was conveniently located near three subway lines and the Jamaica train station for the LIRR. There were quite a bit of restaurants and mini markets nearby as well. The location was relatively safe although I wouldn’t recommend walking around outside late at night. I did hear sirens every night from my hotel room. The room and washroom were clean but the lobby and breakfast area were pretty low end. I would recommend this hotel for travelers on a budget and need to get around town using public transit.

Staff friendly, nice. Room very dated, not vacuumed, mattress covered with 'a' sheet, curtains falling off curtain rod , room on lower level, window looking onto pavement. Not enough towels, tissues, toilet paper.
Waited over an hour for shuttle to pick us up. Each time (5 in all) I called to check on shuttle I was lied to by the receptionist. The hotel was filthy, rugs threadbare and torn. Would never stay in it again - am totally taken aback that it was recommended by Expedia. Will use other referral services for hotel stays in future.
Will not go back.
Hotel night staff had no courtesy. Room was dirty carpet was dirty and so was the duvet cover. It's was smelling moldy. AC was so loud could not sleep all night.

The bedding were in the best conditions that I have even seen in a hotel .
I had a good items sleep and when the very nice man those me that I can have coffee, I was elected. That made my day .
Only attractions: eatery nearby and transportation
This hotel only had two attractions: eatery nearby and transportation. If you're looking for a nice and comfortable hotel, this isn't the one- the fridge hardly worked, the tv channels sucked( I'm glad I brought my
laptop or I would have died from boredom), the room was very dusty. I think the rate per night for this hotel should be $79.
Hotel is excellent there's restaurants nearby walking distance , where they deliver to the room . There's a laundromat in front of the hotel. There's buses , trains Taxi service connected to the hotel . The staff is excellent when it comes to safety it is very safe they have cameras all over . I had to give Them my room key at 11 a.m. but I had a meeting to attend . They held the bag for me until I return therefore I didn't have to pay extra a day extra for just having my luggage in the room . Excellent customer service and this is very important when you're away from home .

experience is not so bad, breakfast seems a little bit simple. Housekeeper is very nice. Receptionist could be more nice.
