This place sets the bar highest in Manhattan!
It was amazing! They offered a room with a view. I stayed on the 32nd floor. I had a view of the Empire State Building. It was absolutely GORGEOUS! Omgoodness!! And the breakfast buffet was everything! Just what I needed. Totally delicious. Amazing staff, everyone was wonderful. Prices were spot on too. Everything I could have wanted and more! Definitely where I want to stay next time I'm in Manhattan!

The moment you enter the hotel, there is an awful odor I can only describe as the inside of a grandma’s purse. Old mint gum mixed with mature perfume and an arrange of spoiled candies. There are 4 very slow elevators for 45 floors that cannot handle the capacity of people, especially in the morning so you end up waiting 10 minutes for a crammed elevator or you’re stuck with walking up 40 floors of stairs. The rooms are extremely extremely small, we fit 4 coats in the closet. That was it. The bathroom smelled of mold and mildew the entire time, which penetrated the towels along with a dirty, dusty smell they had. To make matters worse, the shower puddles at the drain and easily flows over to the bathroom floor, making it all wet no matter how short your shower is. Breakfast was mediocre at best, no variety the whole week we stayed. Just eggs, bacon/sausage, and some sweets. Coffee was horrible. It was our first time in NY and I asked the front desk if they knew anything about getting broadway tickets or rush tickets. Nope. Anyways, our last night we decide to look at their terrace and enjoy the “beautiful view” as they say. Of course the Terrace was closed for a private event yet there was nobody there. Awful experience overall.

We enjoyed our time at Hyatt Place. The room was very minimalist- no extra toiletries and quite small- but it was all we needed for our stay in the city. We were rarely in our room. Comfortable and clean.
