The Hotel Chelsea lived up to it’s reputation, in a good way The front of house staff were great, particularly the doormen. And no, I don’t remember any names. The room was small but well appointed and very comfortable, the bathroom quite large and impressive. I was travelling alone so didn’t need a large room, I’m sure the suites would be fabulous. The bars are very popular, and it is easy to see why. The waiting staff for breakfast on a weekend are comically aloof, which I can cope with but would get on my nerves if it was all week. I’d stay there next time I’m in NY, which says it all really

Amazing hotel, and a new favorite for NYC. I lived in the city for a few years in Greenwich Village, and have always tried to stay there when I visit. The Hotel Chelsea has totally changed my opinion, and now I will stay here every time.

This hotel is both modern and turn of the century decor. Recently renovated to include all modern luxuries while maintaining a taste for the past. No squeaky doors, or loud toilet flushes to stir you from the velvety interiors that seem to hug you as you enter the room. Located in safe area near a subway stop. We loved the room almost as much as the bar. The Naked Lunch cocktail is amazing with its oak Moss tincture. It’s a must. We shall return…
